Kids making more than some of the coaches
No accountability or transfer/leave
Mentally soft/expect to show up and Win
Cant tackle or finish a play
Weak OL run blocking
No Rbs with a threat to break a long one
DL/DBs with limited talent
WR are ok but no true stud who performs and makes the tough grab on 3rd down
Avg QB and no back up
Coaches who are overpaid & provide average
results
I know i missed a few but thats the obvious ones

Can’t argue with most of that, but Nuss is way better than an average QB. And we really know nothing about the backups.

I’ve decided that lsu could win the rest of their games and someone from the rant would complain because we still didn’t score enough points, run enough or we are passing the ball way too much.

NIL and transfer portal destroyed college football. The overall product is way worse now.

Garrett Nussmeier is a very good QB.
Yet another likely generational QB talent that looks to be squandered. 2nd one in 2 years.

How do blame NIL? UT seems to be doing just fine. We just have a trash coach

A fricking stupid arse fanbase

Nuss has 1000+ yards, 11TDs, with 73% completion rate in his first 3 starts…. Ever.

I hope they do win them all but having watch the team, i doubt that happens...
They are soft, dont hold themselves accountable and way over value themselves...

This isn’t as big of a problem as some of you are making it out to be. The game has changed. This will work itself out.
quote:

No accountability or transfer/leave

This is all on the ncaa. They opened Pandora’s box and they’ve made no effort to try to fix it.

Agree. I keep going back to your all world tackle declaring how they were going to run the football on everyone and we couldn’t manage 100yds against fricking Nicholls.
quote:

Cant tackle or finish a play

This is bizarre. A bad holdover from last seasons defense.

Avg QB and no back up

He’s thrown for 300yds his first three games. And if OLine play is as bad as you say, I’d say that’s impacting this. Nuss is not Jayden, nor Burrow. But he’s not the source of our issues.

Ugh. I don’t know what to say here. We won a championship with a shrimp boat captain as coach. I know this staff is much more professional. I don’t get why we don’t have leaders on this team.

And while we’re at it why is Perkins stuck in coverage at MLB? Why isn’t he coming off the edge every down wreaking havoc in the backfield? Even the PlayStation game knows this because they sub him at end in nickel and dime packages. He’s your best playmaker on defense and you’ve got him in the middle.

You made some good points.
The coach/player relationship balance does change when the kids make more $$ and have no accountability as they can basically leave whenever....look at the Louisville WR who left, didnt make starter and went back to L-ville WR.
Nuss has good stats but so far missing that leadership quality to get them over the hump in tight spots.

Collins got LSU into FG range before the half. He looks like a capable reliever

I don’t think it’s that bad
Talent level is not up to par in some parts to make a natty run this year
Defense is a mindset
You have to want to tackle and be physical out there and I haven’t seen a capable defense yet under Kelly
