I think there is no way Jobert coming in, won’t find a spot in the lineup. He raked on us as a freshman at Nicholls and didn’t slow down at Delgado.

Honestly what are the chances Pearson makes it to campus and is Jobert really coming?? I mean Jacob Berry was pretty much a lock and I’m glad it was confirmed today (shite can go wrong at times) but these other 2 cats what are the real percentages of each of these being on the diamond come February? Also that catcher McManus this is the first I heard about him (I don’t follow like some of you) what’s the backstory on this cat other than he’s from the dirty Dell and is currently still at Samford? Thanks in advance for your help. T

Also what’s up with Gio? Seems he’s nowhere to be found on many lists. Is it a forgone conclusion that he’s gone or that he will not have recovered from his injury by the time next season kicks off?

I see no way Beloso cracks an opening day lineup here

If he does so happen to stay, he will need to benefit from an injury or someone else absolutely bombing

I think it’s a little unlikely, but the guy could start connecting and get hot. “No way” is an exagggeration.

Are we going to pretend that Beloso wasn't a good hitter at LSU before?

And are we also going to pretend that we didn't just hire a coach who has a reputation for getting his players to hit?

He was a decent hitter, on a poor hitting LSU team. His one season batting above 0.300 was the 17 game season in 2020. People act like he was a monster his freshman year at the plate and he wasnt. 10 hrs and 52 rbis was definitely better than the horseshite he stepped to the plate and produced last year though.

Jobert is already technically on campus. He’s playing summer ball with some of our guys.

He’d have to be let out of his NLI he’s already signed and nothing points to him going anywhere.

If by on campus you mean in Bluefield, West Virginia or some shite. And has no LSU guys on his team.

He popped up to 3B against Gervase last week in Bluefield, West Virginia. So, he's basically on campus and playing with some of our guys.

Haha ok so I’ll dumb it down, what I should have said was “he was sent to play summer ball along with our other players”. Didn’t meant to sound like they were on the same teams. If so facto, the guy will be here. Didn’t mean hurt yalls feelings. Enjoy yalls 4th.

Berry didn’t transfer to LSU to be the DH. He’s not going to suicide his draft prospects just because he loves his coach

Berry will DH if that is what is best for the team. If Simon's hitting is on point then Doughty and Berry will end up fighting over DH rather than 3rd base.

That was last year. I’m talking about moving forward. Dude will be at a defensive position. DH’s don’t get drafted

No.

Cade Doughty and the national freshman of the year and first team all american will not be "fighting over DH".

They will both, 100%, be in the lineup.

What went wrong this year?

Indecision on position players. Missing 1 weekend starter. shite-for-brains in-game coaching.

Then the injury to Hill.
