2020 LSU Football Schedule
Sept. 5 UT-SAN ANTONIO
Sept. 12 TEXAS
Sept. 19 vs. Rice (in Houston – NRG Stadium)
Sept. 26 OLE MISS
Oct. 3 NICHOLLS STATE
Oct. 10 at Florida
Oct. 17 at Arkansas
Oct. 24 MISSISSIPPI STATE
Oct. 31 Open Date
Nov. 7 ALABAMA
Nov. 14 SOUTH CAROLINA
Nov. 21 at Auburn
Nov. 28 at Texas A&M

Still having something to play for in November is good with me. I think we split Texas and Florida and I’m thinking we end up losing to UF out of those 2.

UF is going to be a benchmark game again. I hate playing in the Swamp.

I was thinking a loss to Nicholls would do us in.

Agreed. Getting saddled with Florida as our East opponent has a make or break feel to so many seasons. Everytime we beat them we almost always end up on a streak afterwards it seems.

Anyone know what Texas is returning next year, other than the QB?

I'm concerned about that game at the start of the season like that for us. A new team like we're going to have is going to need a few cupcake games on the front end of the season to find themselves.

TX at home and FL on the road. If LSU is 7-1 headed into Bama, the loss will likely be AT Florida.

And when are we going to get rid of the open date before Bama?

I think so. I could see LSU, Bama, UF and UGA all being 11-1 at the end of the season with all losses being to each other.

Schedule layout is so damn weird, with the early Ole Miss game, State in October and the late cross division home game ... then two road trips to finish.

Just a strange layout. But we comin'

They where a young team this year that also had injuries. People are already digging tom Herman's grave, but I think he brings a legit top ten team at least based off talent to tiger stadium this September. I think our tigers show out at home but it will be tough and definitely not a guaranteed win

This schedule is undoubtedly very easy. I think Brennan, Coach O, and the boys will surprise a lot of people. We will be undefeated heading into the Bama game. This team knows what it took to win this year and they will surprise a lot of people with our new faces.

It will be tough to beat UF in the Swamp with a new QB and a host of new starters. Difficult but not impossible. Texas will be a test as well with Ehlinger returning.

Depending on how well the new guys mesh, I'm thinking 9-3 or 8-4 is the most likely scenario. If we can go 10-2, it would be a very good year, and set us up well for another title run in 2021 with Brennan as a senior.

The SEC stuck it to us with this revised schedule.

We play four SEC games in November with the last two on the road and three of them are against our three main west division foes.

We will need to grow up fast.

2020 LSU Football Schedule
Sept. 5 UT-SAN ANTONIO W
Sept. 12 TEXAS W (Close)
Sept. 19 vs. Rice (in Houston – NRG Stadium) W
Sept. 26 OLE MISS W
Oct. 3 NICHOLLS STATE W
Oct. 10 at Florida Toss Up
Oct. 17 at Arkansas W
Oct. 24 MISSISSIPPI STATE W
Oct. 31 Open Date
Nov. 7 ALABAMA Toss Up
Nov. 14 SOUTH CAROLINA W
Nov. 21 at Auburn Toss Up
Nov. 28 at Texas A&M W

I say Toss Up because we really do not know what 2020 team will be yet. If we reload, Brennan performs as Matt Flynn type, and we hire a decent DC, no reason we can't finish between 12-0 and 11-1.

Our hardest games in order:
Bama
@ Florida
@ Auburn
Texas

Unfortunately on even years we get Auburn and Florida away and Bama home. The opposite is always better but neither is ACC caliber easy. Fortunately this is not a Georgia year. Wish Tennessee would rejoin the living to give Bama more of a challenge.

But I digress. I see 98% for 1 or 0 loss before A1abama dependent primarily on Florida and somewhat on Texas at home. Despite both new HCs at the Mississippies, I don’t see the others challenging.

Final
8-4 and below: disaster
9-3 fair
10-2 good
11-1 very good
12-0 living the dream
12 or + is fairytale zone. Hoping for, “Once upon a time...” but hey, I’m a fan.
