I remember Wade saying that Penn was a more polished and skilled offensive player which is obvious when you watch his highlights. I don't think he said Penn was more athletic which is noticeable when you see how well Kavell ran the floor and jumped. Wade said that the difference on defense is that when someone takes it to the hoop Penn will alter the shot while Kavell would actually block it. My question for Penn, despite his size, is about his rebounding ability. I think he didn't meet expectations at Washington in that area.

I don't think so. He seems like a great character kid who is going to work hard and be a hidden gem later. He has huge size and athletic ability, but seems insanely raw. I saw that brief interview where he said "all he can do" right now is rebound and dunk

If they have succes like expected, get ready for the media to be all over Wade. I cant wait to get a taste of their saltiness.

I would wager that today it would be the first 4 you mentioned, plus Hyatt.

If Manning was healthy, it would be him.

I saw where he said that and I immediately had a lot of respect for him. I really appreciate self awareness. So many big men are in denial and/or try to prove they can handle the ball and shoot from the outside to the detriment of the team. Gray understands his role and will contribute how he can.

Definitely agree with this.

One thing fir everyone to keep in mind is that like football, this year doesn’t count for eligibility purposes against players. So it’ll be like you can redshirt Gray without having to adhere to the RS rules. So I think he’ll play a few minutes in blowouts (like tonight possibly); but is unlikely to see any serious minutes. Hopefully can develop and give some back up minutes next year and then be a contributor by year 3.

I wish we could have stayed in the Nebraska Tourney because that really had a wonderful slate of teams.

Nah, it’s a good thing we didn’t. That event ended up just about completely falling apart. Last I checked there were only 3 teams left in it (Nebraska, Nevada, and some new nothing team). Even WKU backed out and somehow fell into the Bad Boy Mowers Crossover Classic, which has some good teams in it.

Now I wish it could have stayed intact like originally scheduled; but in hindsight it’s best we got out when we did.

20 minutes. Let’s GEAUXXXX!
