Good to get the inevitable 3-5 game suspensions out of the way.

What's the deal with the two byes? Not complaining, just wondering why the schedule came out this way.

Possible set up to move to a 9 game conference schedule some years down the road?

Besides the Texas game, all the way up to the Florida game sucks and will be pretty boring as a fan.

The first Game against GA southern is the week before Labor Day. I believe they call it “week 0” in the national media.

Edit: it appears I was wrong and the whole SEC does in fact have 2 bye weeks.

Like that GA southern is the first game. Get time to prepare for that option. Difficult to do during the year. Remember Saban saying they ran through them like shite through a tin horn a few years ago.

No we open Labor Day weekend. Labor Day in September 2nd in 2019.

It’s just the way the calendar falls people. Thanksgiving falls 5 days later in 2019 so the schedule gets shifted a week so that the SEC Championship Game isn’t Thanksgiving weekend.

To hell with that option. Gives us a game in before we go to Austin

Just the way the calendar works out next year. First game is still Labor Day weekend against GSU.

The bad thing about home and home very limited tics for visitors.

LSU will be allotted only 4K tickets to the Texas game if the game is at DKR. The Big XII mandates that OOC visitors receive fewer tickets than conference foes (7K). Visiting seats at DKR suck though. They are way up in the nosebleed section or all the way at the end of the east lower endzone.

With Joe Burrow a year under his belt, Miss. State and Au will be breaking in a new QB next year. I would be shocked if we aren't meeting up with Bama undefeated.

Why is there two bye weeks?
O may have requested it. It's smart. More rest. They're evenly spaced as well.
