re: Oregon State DC Tim Tibesar

Before Oregon State:

“Tim Tibesar is in his third season as Wisconsin’s outside linebackers coach, adding the title of Defensive Run Game Coordinator in 2017.”

Oregon State DC Tim Tibesar

This is a total reach, but this guy worked under Aranda at Wisconsin. They interviewed him for the D Coordinator position, but went with Leonard instead. I wouldn’t mind seeing him and Billy Busch at Co-Defensive Coordinators. Tibesar had a 2019 salary of $575,004.

In his time at Wisconsin, Tibesar has guided and mentored the likes of NFL-bound linebackers Joe Schobert, T.J. Watt and Vince Biegel. In 2015, Schobert and Biegel combined for 33.5 tackles for loss and 17.5 sacks, with the former named the Big Ten Linebacker of the Year. Tibesar also was named the FootballScoop Linebackers Coach of the Year along with former defensive coordinator Dave Aranda that year.

Tibesar’s position group helped Wisconsin’s defensive unit rank No. 1 in total defense (253.2 yards per game) and team passing efficiency defense (96.31), No. 2 in rushing defense (92.6 yards per game), and No. 3 in scoring defense (13.2 points per game) on way to a 12-1 record and a Capital One Orange Bowl berth against Miami.

I’m going with Russell Crowe here....
He’s obviously one of the most sought after guys at this point...... I love LSU and have loved this special season, but the stats won’t be the same next year... he walked into a dream situation.... 22 year old (currently 23) quarterback and an offensive unit that returned guys at almost every position after going 10-3 the previous year.

So what does his pro’s and cons look like right now in yalls opinion?
Just think..... to beat Bama and Clemson in the same year after the run they both have had. GEAUX Tigahs!
Right now LSU has beaten the teams ranked 4,5,9,12,13.

By seasons end all could be in the top ten

Beat Clemson, that would be 6 teams possibly in the final top 10, at least top 15.

I hope you’re right
Below is the write up in September 2019 of the 150 best ALL TIME TEAMS. Obviously, most of us are biased, but with the amount of awards won by individual players and the O-Line group, as well as All Americans selected.... this LSU Team would rank high if we beat Clemson.

Where is Marcel Brooks? Come on bruh.... I don’t wanna hear some crap about “he’s not available, we’re handling it internally.”

Sunday Golf - Sam Burns

Sam started off pretty strong, but stumbled a bit. The scores are bunch together, so a strong Sunday could get him a Top 20 or Top 15 finish! Geaux Sam!

11:25 a.m. -- Chris Thompson, Bud Cauley, Sam Burns (No. 10)

I thought a returning QB of a top 10 team should’ve been mentioned.... especially with all That LSU has coming back....
should we be offended? Or is it reality that he’s just not the same caliber as the guys listed in this article?

re: LSU gave #7 to the wrong guy...

LSU is the ones who made it a thing to Wear 7....

I’m sure Giles was showing off in spring and summer.... but so far in play I believe he’s overmatched.... hopefully he will find a groove.

LSU gave #7 to the wrong guy...

Posted by RedMan2 on 9/17/18 at 8:27 am
I’m for J. Giles and hope for great success for him. But he is not the playmaker I expected him to be...

You can tell that he’s very quick, but he seems to get pushed around pretty good. Knocked down easily. I’m not as concerned about the couple drops he’s had this season as I am that he can’t seem to explode or make any big plays.

I’m sure I’ll get killed over this, but I expected a little more from “#7”
I’m expecting 14 from Miami... 24 for the Tigahs!
Sounds like you’re predicting an LSU vs Orgeron 2011! Lololol. I hope so.
Agreed... I believe Miami’s defense is going to be down a slight notch.... however their offense will be up a slight notch.

Thathappens to play into LSU’s favor this year.
I was looking into Miami’s 2017 schedule and noticed that they seem to start slow.
Check this out...
Points scored by Miami in the 1st quarter:
Vs. Bethune-Cook (3 points)
Vs. FSU (3 points)
Vs. Ga Tech (3 points)
Vs. Syracuse (3 points)
Vs. North Carolina (0 points)
Vs. Va Tech (0 points)
Vs. Virginia (7 points)
Vs. Pitt (0 points)
Vs. Clemson (0 points)

You would think that if LSU defense plays well, then we hold Miami to minimum points in the first Quarter and hopefully the whole first half. Which would give time for Burrow and offense to settle in and try and find some rhythm...

Also realize that Wisconsin DC was brought in and studied under Aranda... he’s done quite well and did pretty good in the bowl game last year against Miami. The breakdowns and notes have been shared and Miami will be exploited.

I attached the highlights from the last game Miami played against Wisconsin in the bowl game. I believe the game on Sunday will look a lot like this game except with a better defensive performance by LSU...

Check out The throws by Wisconsin QB... lots of back shoulder catches. The last TOUCHDOWN catch was over Miami’s Returning 5’9 corner who I think LSU wr’s are going to abuse.

Also a couple reads on Miami’s secondary from their perspective...
