To any LSU softball player reading any of these posts: do not pay attention to any of us who don't know what we're talking about.
Pay attention to this: we love our LSU girls softball team and only want the best for each of you.
Keep on doing your best and don't pay attention to the crap spewed on him.

Not sure why Dawson would transfer when Torina hinted about her being a contributor at 2B next year.
Also Torina hinted Sunseri will be a major part of our hitting next year and that CC will be plugged into all positions on the infield, specifically the corners

Lol. It's worse than football!

My friend just texted me that Dawson is done at LSU.
Can't officially confirm but if true, best of luck to Dawson in her future. I hope she extremely successful. Sometimes things don't fit or workout how you envision it.

Hope you're not talking about me... I cheer on and defend all of our players and coaches here.

I've heard from a friend who used to be BFF with her 7th cousin by means of adoption named Mark.

I told you I don't post rumors.

Do you have something against me?

Making fun of the fact that you received a text but can't confirm it. That's what I always say when I read that.
When it's confirmed, I'll believe it and you as well.

Nothing is official until its released by LSU. I'm just trying to share what someone told me.
I just try to contribute any info I have for lsu softball. Not on a person level but in regards to these type of things, any transfers coming in, recruiting.
Seems like you dislike me, I don't want all that. We are all on the same team here

*sorry I did not notice your question wasn't aimed at me*
I do not know you, so no I have nothing against you, or anyone on this board.
Just saying, I don't post rumors. Every single post I've done, or cosigned from someone, you or even Mr. Ducote was done with facts or 1st hand knowledge. That's all.
She won't see the field at LSU and she realized it. Satchell should have realized it after her freshman year.
I told you that local kids don't get much chances, besides Landry and the program was in a different stratosphere when her chance came. I'm not making that up. Look through the starting roster. Satchell, Dawson, Weinberger, Bourg were/are all good enough to play here, yet they don't. Why?

See there it is again! Someone told you. Unless you can name the source, then it can be called as doubtful.
I don't dislike you at all, but I think you know more than you need to know.

Of all the players in that group you listed I only see Dawson being the one to ever see significant time. Weinberger is only a true freshman right now but I don't know where you would play her right this second. Andrews by far was probably the most impressive freshman this year. She really blossomed.
Satchell is talented and versatile. Although I don't see a position specifically that warranted a starting position for her.
I liked Bourg a lot, she was fantastic defensively, although her numbers at Nicholls State aren't the most impressive especially with the competition but I can't deny she was fantastic densively here.
I don't necessarily believe that Torina has something against LA players but we tend to recruit at an extremely high level nationally.

I think you answered you own question. A college coach, not some travel ball coach or high school coach made the best decision for the team to win and decided on who the best lineup was. All this drivel on here about the wrong players were playing is absurd. The best kids were on the field. Dawson will or would've played a lot next year I'm certain. If she's leaving then so be it. I don't know the reasons but if it's because she didn't play much this year then that's weak. She evidently didn't give her team the best chance to win. She was a freshman, no shame in not playing as a freshman.

I won't debate it, because we'll never know, but I'd bet money Satchell can play 3B as well as Sanchez. Hit as well too. I'd also bet Weinberger & Satchell can play LF as well as Griggs, considering Andrews should be in CF.
Maybe they aren't leaps and bounds ahead, but by no means were the 2 I mentioned unquestionably starters for their talent, yet they were unquestionably starters. So what's a kid to do?

I truly do understand what you are saying but to me I defer to the professional here in coach Beth Torina.

I love Andrews and no doubt she covers the most ground but her weakness is her arm, Why would you put someone in CF who has issues throwing a ball? Emily isn't by any means slow either. Not saying Andrews can't play CF but in the overall scheme of things it made sense that Emily played in CF.
who the heck do we sit in the outfield? Complaining about Weinberger specifically doesn't make any sense right now. Not that she's not a good player but damn it's her first year.

Curious what's your lineup? I'm legit interested respectfully!

Why is everyone in this thread so damn protective of the softball team? Is it simply because they are girls? People say all kinds of crazy shite about the football players and such and I've never seen such policing of what people think. It's a fricking message board. If they take what anyone on here says seriously then they have bigger problems.
Not directed at tigerbait, but the whole thread as a whole.

I'm not complaining at all. I'm simply saying that she has a cannon and is faster than Griggs. Satchell has the same arm if not better from the OF. Dawson is faster than all of them with a solid arm. Nothing physical about Griggs warrants immediate starter position. Nothing about Sanchez either, so why were they unchallenged starters? I get Connie at 2B, but to be fair, she could have been beat out last year if some kids were given the chance.
Kids are leaving this program because they are in practice everyday. They see what they can do vs what the unchallenged starters can do. They then see they get zero chances. It's hard to be a star in spot duty. It's hard to be an AA too, but it's not hard to hit .230 when you don't have to worry about being sat (just an example)
I'm telling you, players, some still on the roster are very unhappy. There is discord and tension, and has been for a couple of years at least.
I told you years ago that the Louisiana kids wouldn't play. I told Ashlyn that Dawson would be a PH/PR. Same with Weinberger for example. I've paid a lot of attention to this program for a while now. I don't believe in coincidences, at least not that many in one place.
