I've heard that Hilliard doesn't have grades and LSU won't see him. I guess that's not official until Fall enrollment.

Hilliard is enrolled in Summer school...not sure how or if that will affect his status in the fall but seems like a pretty good sign that he will be a Tiger in 2018

I'm curious about Will Reese. As a freshman he didn't contribute much that I can remember. A few midweek outings that I can think of. Not terribly uncommon for a freshman, but also means I didn't get many chances to see what kind of stuff he's got. Flamethrower? Junk baller? Accuracy?

Templet/Reese out to put us at 35 unless one of the position players goes

Thank you for this great work!

I knew we'd be young next year but seeing it written down somewhere really makes it even more noticeable for me, which also hurts a little.

Hopefully, we can find our weekend starters, have no more injuries and have a solid year next year.

What's some realistic goals? Regionals? I would be ecstatic if we hosted a regional with all the roster turnover and with Walker being out.

Thats really tough to tell right now in my opinion.

We will obviously need a newcomer or two to step in and contribute. It will all depend on pitching though.

Can Hess transition into a solid starter?

Can Gilbert be who he was in his start in Omaha for an entire season?

What other starter steps up?

And the entire bullpen is a question mark.

Its LSU, so our bad should always be a pretty good season for most others. So I'll say the lowest is 2 or 3 in a regional somewhere. The highest we should expect is hosting a regional. Anything beyond that would be a huge accomplishment from CPM and the team.

Look at that sophomore class.

I'd say if we don't host it would be a disappointment considering the talent returning.

Not sure but heard he was talking shite about LSU current players on twitter and other social media sights during the season and it got back to some people who make decisions.

These two things probably didn't help his cause:

07/13/16 - OWI

02/14/17 - Mingling Harmful Substances

My bold prediction: N Webre will see the most PT out of all the incoming freshmen.

Went to check on how Mason Templet was doing in the summer league and found that Webre is on the same team and is batting .363 with 0.538 OBP. His power numbers aren't great and he strikes out a lot, but if you take out his strikeouts, he's batting 0.500 with an OBP of 0.742. If he can cut down on those SO, he could be a fine player for us.

Appears to have some speed with 15 stolen bases (4 behind the team leader), so I wouldn't be surprised to see him get a shot at RF at least in midweek games to start the year.

We could end up as a better offensive team with maybe little to no drop off at defense.

It's the starting rotation that is mind boggling. If we just had Walker, I'd feel a little better.

We are replacing four starters. 3 of those are up the middle and the 4th is Deichman. We don't have a single returning starting pitcher. And you think we have to host a regional or its a disappointment? Let me guess, you were furious this season because we lost in the championship round.
