I remember when the parking lot in front of Pleasant Hall was free.

As you might expect, it is incredibly inefficient. There seems to be ABSOLUTELY no coherent plan or route.

That said, it's $10 bucks and will get you to the game. Still probably a better option than paying an arm and a leg to park. The good news is once you finally get to your location (usually downtown), it's easy to get on the interstate or to your home (if you live in BR)

Used to park where the new Intramural fields are. Thats about 5,000 cars they used to get in there.

Well, that sucks. I always park in the hay lot. Is it just for that one game?

Hmm actually email leaves 413 off the list and doesn't mention it. But shows it reserved.

This has been in the works for the past 2 years. Last season they expanded the non-renewable parking to include every lot on campus. You had to get on the parking waiting list by March 31st this year to be eligible. The lot I wanted is a mile away from the stadium (on Tower Drive). TAF said I needed to be donating around $11 thousand a year to get a spot in that lot.

Amazing

this is what i'm looking at.

ETA: I emailed them for clarification. Just to be sure.

They did that for the afternoon florida game 2013. Remember the shite storm that day?

There are plenty of lots on campus that aren't non-renewable lots.

At most, from the intersection of Highland & Tower, it's 1/2 mile to the South Endzone entrance.

That was your one-time catch up amount to get to the points needed for that lot based on the prior year's data.

Wow. I stand corrected. Most of us referring to "on campus" really consider areas West of Highland and east of Nicholson as on campus. You know. Places where you actually went to class if you attended the university.

So YES. There is still free parking for LSU games. Actually, Parking spots at the Parker Agriculture center are still free, and the Parker lot is literally directly across Highland from where we currently tailgate. The TAF would like $11 thousand dollars in order to be able to purchase parking in lot 312 which (according to Google Maps) is .7 miles away from our gate in Tiger Stadium.

I'm an Alum. I know the boundaries of the Main Campus.

There needs to be a balance. I would be COMPLETELY ok with limiting many of the current/former "free" lots to ticket holders. Many people just come out to campus to tailgate with no ticket and no intention of going to the game. Those people take up parking spots that could go to people who are actually giving money to LSU (by way of ticket purchases). If you want to just come out and tailgate, that's fine. But your parking priority should be at the end of the line.

I guess, to some extent, that is what LSU is doing by eliminating more and more free parking. The downside is that it cost $100+ for a single person to attend an SEC game (price of ticket + parking)
