2014 Will be an incredibly hyped year of football

So it's the offseason, we can ponder the future...Two years from now, Mettenberger has gone pro after a stellar senior campaign and Stephen Rivers is the starting quarterback with Jerrard Randle taking snaps as well(i know, i know, bad memories)
With Mettenberger already having won a national title, there is a ton of pressure on Rivers to deliver. Tiger Stadium now holds 100,000 people with an impressive new expansion in the south endzone, putting visiting fans where they deserve to be, in the nosebleeds.
On top of this, the ads that once took half of the screen on the NEZ video board are gone, and old folks and nosebleed season ticket holders rejoice to see Jermauria Rasco making a bone-crunching sack of some poor Alabama quarterback in full HD.
Tiger Stadium is, as always, without a doubt the loudest in college football, a near-dangerous-for-your-hearing amount of noise for night games with SEC teams that garners the nickname "Deaf Valley".

I don't think we'll win a NC in 13, but this year it's ours

I think LSU is one of the top 5 programs of new century. This pressure is the way it should be. Hopefully it'll be embraced and expected....but without the entitlement other programs seem to suffer with.

Do we have any big name qb targets this year that we may be able to sway to LSU?

Well from my vantage point, LSU puts several thousand visitors in the lower SEZ corner and I don't see many SEC teams which reciprocate in the same manner. Maybe Ole Ms which gives us most of their EZ BLEACHERS { with VERY limited "facilities"}.
It's about time we moved the majority of visitor seats to the upper EZ rafters aka Al,GA,FL,MSU etc.

Not up to date on this...are the contracts for those ads ending before the 2014 season? If so I can't wait to see replays on that thing.
Also, there could be a good chance Rasco is off to the NFL before then, but hopefully he stays around...definitely seems to have the talent to put up the numbers and leave early

That's what I'm hearing. It would make sense because of the stadium expansion being complete in 2014
Those ads always pissed me the hell off. I don't need a twenty by twenty mcdonalds logo on the scoreboard. There are only 20 million mickey d's in baton rouge alone

quote:your vantage point is flat out wrong then. the only thing we do differently is put the visiting team sections together, where as nearly everyone else splits them up. you probably just don't have enough TAf points to get the premium away game seats

Went to high school with "That marine". Trust me, he deserved everything he got that night and all the shite he still gets for it.

2012 is our year. We'll lose too much to win in 2013 unless the young kids outplay their experience and beat Bama who will be loaded that year. Our offense should be fine as long as we replace the guys like Faulk,Hurst and Lonergan on the OL but the defense will have a ton of new parts particularly at DE but I guess it's possible.

If he does Miles is guaranteed to start him over Rivers no matter what.

If the neck tat is any indication we might be in trouble... but hey never judge a book by its cover, the Guy may be the most soft spoken well mannered QB in the history of the game
never know
