It was one of the best atmospheres in history of Death Valley.

SVP's words afterwards are all time.

Really a fricking shame we lost that game.

JC Copeland rumbling down the sideline and carrying that moment into the end of the 3rd was the most electric I've ever experienced Tiger Stadium.

And then...TJ Yeldon

It’s the game that solidified the national sports media’s love affair with Saturday Nights in Death Valley.

I don't like SI, but if you go back and find the SI edition after we beat ND in TS 28-8 in '71, it raves about TS at night.

We've been about nights & noise well over 50 years. That's what made TS special. National media has recognized this for some time.

When the TS dorms were vacated, many of the dorms had cracked windows, etc, we should've just left 'em as-is and started calling TS "The Asylum." Very fitting.

one pass from mett for a 1st down seals game. nope. our idiot coach runs it thrice,

Yep. One of Mett's best games. We rolled him out all game long and I wondered why we hadn't done that sooner. We had Bama on the ropes with the passing attack, then Les decides to go conservative. I don't recall the specifics. Did we run up the middle multiple times in a row? I want to say that they stuffed us on 4th and one when we ran the wildcat twice in a row. Chavis got the blame, but Miles was the true culprit. A prime example of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

That was the second to last time they gave out gold towels to the whole stadium (2014 was the last)

2014 was pretty intense. When we recovered that fumble at the end, the place went bonkers.
And then we somehow go to OT and they rip our hearts out

I've always felt that THAT game in 2012, marked the beginning of the end for Les Miles. Even with the shutout loss earlier that year in the national championship game, if he'd won that one it would've gone a long way towards the fan base having faith in him...................................................

Way before my time and I have no doubt it started back then.

I could rephrase and say the modern love affair began with that 2012 game vs Bama, haha.

2012 & 2014 Bama games were rocking as good as I've ever seen TS rock...it is up there with the 1997 Florida game as loudest I've been to.

It sucks we lost both 12 & 14...gut stomp, but the stadium lived up to its reputation those nights. Wow
