as long as they don't do this in Baton Rouge I'm fine with it.

Same here. It also makes for a "free" weekend to do something that otherwise would be taken up by LSU football. Sounds like a helluva time to take a 3 day weekend getaway.

Or you can look at it as LSU is over on Thursday and not an all day event on Saturday. I'm sorry if LSU football is such a burden to you and your precious fall weekends.

No, I mean watch the game on Thursday night, and head to the beach for a 3 day weekend on Friday morning.

They did this so that they would have more time to rest and prepare for the game at West Virginia the following week. Good decision I believe.

Gives us fewer days to prepare for what will likely be a challenging SEC road game against MSU.

However, it gives us additional time to prepare for the road contest at WVU.

No reason I can't enjoy both LSU football and other things in my life, is there? I will be smack in the middle of training for the NYC Marathon at that point as well. Do I need your permission to do that during football season, or can I live my life the way I want?

Hotels in Starkville also do not have the football game prices on them right now.

Hampton Inn within walking distance of the stadium is $129/nt fully refundable.

I don't really give a frick honestly. Thursday night games suck. If you're training for a marathon get yourself a box of fricking cookies next time you're out. SEC football belongs on Saturdays in the fall. Boise belongs on Thursdays you fricking freak.

Yes we did so i dont know what all the fuss is about.

The difference is in '07 it opened the season. LSU has a game before they play State next season. I don't mind a Thursday night game if they don't play the week before.
