We need these guys for blocking

both were great at blocking last year so no need to gain weight and lose speed. they are fine at the weight they have been at this spring/summer.

Deangelo Peterson at 6'4 199! He's my super sleeper surprise freshman pick for this year. The coaches compared him to Bowe, but further along at this point.

Big Herm at 385 lbs ??!!

I'd be willing to bet his plunger gets a workout on a regular basis.

lafell, byrd, and tolliver all put on 5 lbs.

lafell and tolliver could use another 5-10. im sure it will come over time. dont think they are lanky, but it wouldnt hurt to bulk up a little

That's pretty disappointing considering he's a senior. Not only should he be a leader(by example), but he's auditioning for an NFL job. Poor form, Big Herm.

I hope for the sake of the players that its muscle not fat. The new rules will speed the game up and if you are carrying that weight you better be in tip top shape cause it won't matter if you grew up in LA or not.

TODAY'S BULLET POINTS

Ricky Dixon was back at practice

Andrew Hatch looked better today. More relaxed maybe?

The offensive line has no fat guys. Of the 10 o-linemen that were there for the AM practice the smallest was Lyle Hitt at 6-2, 285. And NONE of these guys look fat. NONE.

Joseph Barksdale looks very impressive. Good feet and quick.

Ciron Black and Herman Johnson look the part of All-Americans. They are primed for big seasons.

Drake Nevis looked very good in individual drills today.

Ace Foyil was n his jersey with no helmet. He was involved, but did not participate in any drills.

Ricky Jean-Francois is a vocal leader on the defensive line. He seems to be accepting everything coming his way and is always willing to help the other D-Linemen.

Tyson Jackson looks leaner.

The D-Line as a whole is very impressive.

The 3 running backs are getting plenty of reps.

Coach Les Miles looks very content. Like he knows what he has and will relish the opportunity to play with this team.

Harry Coleman and Curtis Taylor are always instructing the younger players. They exhibit leadership skills.

This team is in shape. They run everywhere. There is no waste.
