How many of the players off of this team made the big leagues at some point? I know Theriot, Fontenot, and Hawpe made it off the top of my head. Also dont know for sure but gotta believe Pontiff would have made it as well. Just curious and too lazy to do the research myself.

Updated List:
Theriot
Fontenot
Hawpe
Tallet
Youman
Hodges
Jorgensen

Always cheered for Cresse but I don't think he ever made it. Probably a pitcher, I was too young to remember the pitching staff. I don't even remember how good we were, I was only 8.

Brian Tallet is in the league. Shane Youman didn't get a fair chance imo.

Dude was mind-numbingly awful at LSU.

I was being facetious. Always liked him though.

Ryan Jorgensen (sp) made it to the show for a brief time, if I'm not mistaken...

I don't think Jorgensen was on the 2000 team.

Always thought Brad Cresse would make the big leagues, and I honestly thought he had the most potential out of anybody. But yeah I'm pretty sure he didn't make it.

I think he is still my favorite player. I was 9 in 2000 and looked up to him because I played the same position. Guy was a beast and that base hit was so clutch.

I can still see his parents in the stands cheering when he had the winning hit.

The greatest baseball game I've ever been to. The crowd was as crazy as a football game. When Barbier hit his HR, the tide turned. It was all LSU after that.

And his Dad climbed right over me to get onto the field. I was sitting first seat on first row next to LSU dugout.
Tremendous memories of that one.

There's nothing like an LSU baseball game with a football game atmosphere. I wasn't at the 2000 final but two games I've been to that felt like a football game were the 2008 UC-Irvine last game at the old box and CWS game 3 vs. Texas.

I still think 2009 was the best all around team me had.

I don't think any team other than 2009 could overcome that game 1 against Texas. Lemahieu
