Les’s Last season: 9-3 with cancelled game vs McNeese. Lost to Bama by 14

Ed’s last season: 10-3. Lost to Bama by 29.

Ed’s doing better than I thought he would. He’s maintaining. Don’t act like he’s made some sort of stride thats pushed our program onto another level.

Most ironic thing about the situation- everyone said O was gonna have to rebuild the lines and that’s why Les started losing. We can’t but a Dlineman.

Nobody is truly happy till we win another title, but last year, objectively speaking, was still the best we've had since 2011. Is it a massive step into being an elite program again? No, but it's a step in the right direction, at least.

5-3 in the SEC is a step in the right direction?

Besides, we've had elite recruiting classes for many year now. We don't need "steps in the right direction."

We need to win the damn West.

That just means the field was a little less competitive last year than it was in 2015. This isn't trying to be a knock on O, both 2018 and 2015 were good seasons. I want to see a playoff berth this year before I feel comfortable throwing all of this buyout money at him though

Did I miss the part where O was caught on a wiretap with a shoe executive discussing “offers” to recruits?

O is a master recruiting rule breaker. He knows you have assistants and shadow staff members handling those phone calls and you just play dumb when it comes to light.

DING DING !!We have a winner. I am starting to like O but who is going to come in and steal the guy? This year looks to be good but 2020 is going to be a big question mark especially at Dline.

For fricks sake why give him Even a cent more? What the frick is he gonna do? Quit? It's not like he's gonna go somewhere else if he's unhappy with making 3.5 million here.

Orgeron’s buyout would increase to $10 million, with the amount decreasing $250,000 each month through March 2021. After March 2021, the buyout would remain $4 million for the rest of the contract.

Comparing O's contract to Aranda's and it's looking like after the 2020 season, LSU would be able to kick O to the curb and promote Aranda to HC pretty easily. Maybe Alleva is already seeing the writing on the wall and just giving O one last chance.

If by “pretty easy” you mean paying him 4 million sure.

Cost of doing business. $4 million is nothing to the program.

It definitely is when you keep offering it.

But I would Think if we’re “setting up” a transition of power it wouldn’t involve just handing a guy 4 million.
