Our issues are with Shores. He has good fastball but it is flat. His control gets him to trouble. Two walks a fluke infield hit here and then so,ud contact fist him 3 to 4 runs,. It’s every game.

I think it's too early to give up on Eyanson and Shores.

At this time 2 years ago people were ready to give up on Floyd.

Floyd had the task of following maybe the greatest single season pitcher LSU has had. It wasn’t an easy spot. I feel like most hated him til he struck out 17 in the CWS

Hopefully Guidry can come back and quickly get into form to bring some late inning moxy. I do agree that Cowan is being underutilized right now though.

Full disclosure I do not know shite about baseball.

Didn’t hate but sometimes his fastball flattened out and teams hit it a long way.

We have plenty options which is a good thing. I just think it’s time to move Shores.
His command is bad. He’s either 2 feet in the left handers box or right down the middle. It’s easy for a hitter.

Floyd started the 2023 season
in the pen, not starting.

I think if we use Evans last night instead of Schmidt we win last night

Probably so. But, using all of the arms, even if in a seemingly head scratching sequence, will pay dividends as the season progresses. They need to get their feet wet and the coaches need to learn when to use them.

Ware needs to get it together. We need lefty help out of the pen.

I'm fine with the rotation for now, but a short week presents an opportunity to perhaps let Shores get some extra rest and work in the lab while you roll another #3 arm out at home in what is hopefully a sweep game. I wouldn't see it as a demotion for Shores but a trial for a different sequence and a chance for Shores to breathe and refocus.

Eyanson has had like 3 bad innings all year...he's been really good..

This is more about Shores than Eyanson. So put Cowan starting and pull Shores and see what happens. Either way, Shores needs to be pulled.

Like I said, we have options. Evans is good, I think he could be a starter, I could also see Eyanson being great out the pen.

Eyanson misses alot of barrels. He's just been unlucky. I'm not sure what way I hope he goes. If he tries to get more swing and miss, we may see more walks...but we may see more strikeouts. If he sticks with the plan, he may just get figured out altogether...but we may see even more efficiency.

Eyanson is the clear cut 1b. Kade deserves Friday but Eyanson is a Friday arm.

I think Eyanson has a lot of the electricity that Hurd had, but Eyanson is just way more consistent and efficient...maybe sometimes to a fault. I still don't love the pitch calling for him, either, but it got better this weekend.

You are a frick tard.
Once Guidry is healthy as the closer
Game 1 needs to be Anderson and Cowan
Game 2 needs to be Eyanson and Evans
Game 3 needs to be Shores and johnny whole staff
Curiel is the best freshman but it could be Evans as a 1b

Couldn’t agree more! Not sure why people want our Saturday and Sunday starter to remain when they can only give you 4 innings. Definitely don’t have anything to lose. You know what you have with Eyanson and Shores. They could come out the bullpen and give you a few innings.

We gave up way to many runs this weekend. Wildness and bad bounces got us.

I agree but have to tip my hat to solid at bats by the Longhorns. Timely hits today were major for them.
