1st time at an LSU game!

So I’m from Dublin in Ireland and I’m going to be going to me first LSU game Vs northwestern state on sep 14th. I’m traveling alone and looking to have the best game day experience I can.
We don’t have tailgating here in Ireland before games we usually just go to the pub maybe 2 hours before a game: I just wanted to know how long before the game should I show up to campus? Should I bring me own alcohol and possibly some Irish alcohol you can’t get stateside to share?
Should I wear purple/LSU Jersey or a jersey from here in Ireland?
Any other tips for good game day experience woudl be great.

Yes to the alcohol questions. I would wear an LSU jersey or the Irish one with an LSU ball cap

Definitely bring that. Wear an LSU shirt and a purple and gold kilt. People will eat that shite up and you may be the most popular newcomer on campus. Get out there at around 7 or 8 am. Hope you have an amazing experience.

Why's that? That's the standard time my crew used to get out there for every game when I was still able to go. If everything wasn't set up and the grill going by 8 then we fricked up.

Unless you look like a mongoloid, you should be able to get laid with your accent. There’s a lot of already easy girls that are fish in a barrel after a few drinks.

Bring some Irish alcohol. Wear the Ireland jersey with an LSU hat. Post again here a few days before the game and you’ll have lots of invites to tailgates from people on this board.

Walk around for a while and look at the various tailgates before you join in on one. Once you get the feel of the crowd you want to be in, make some friends. Bring ye alcohol, especially stuff not in the US. You'll have a great time
