I've still got my ticket, pylon, and a couple of powerade cups I found on the field that day. I'm also seen in the KTBS footage posted a few days ago...long haired, ponytail and all at the 1:07 mark.

The best part of this thread is that everyone who has posted, though not at the game, recalls what they were doing at the time it was being played.

My dad took my mom, they went with some friends as couples, I don't believe my mother has ever been to a game since. I was 13 and pissed off because while they were at the game I was at home watching it on TV.

I was at that game goddamit - which made up for watching shaun alexander run for around 400 yards on us... or seeing LSU roll over to a mediocre Notre Dame team at home (two miserable cold home games)

I was at the game as well....but did not storm the field. I did enjoy watching the post come down....and the trip they made! I also froze my butt off in that lame home stand against ND....only to freeze my butt off in the Indy Bowl as we laid the wood on ND that same season!!!

I was there - no pylon - the Bama game was the year before SA ran for 291. The next game against Ole Miss is one of the most dissapointing games ever.

I was in Mexico on a fishing trip.
The signal kept fading in and out, as the dish was getting pelted with rain.

I was there under the old scoreboard in the North Endzone in the student section. I still remember some Florida fans coming over with a banner before the game and getting owned by the LSU student section. The best game I ever experienced in Tiger Stadium.

I was listening to the game on the radio while I was working at Office Depot in Monroe. I remember running through the store like a madman after the Hill interception. Good times.

We had drank a lot all day before the game and tailgated, which may have caused some of the headache and ears ringing. But, that UF-'97 night, my ears buzzed and head hurt like no other game I've ever attended..granted I wasn't in TS for USC '79..but I heard it in my yard many miles away in amazement.

My friends dad has missed TWO home games since 1955 and that was one of them. For a family members wedding. Needless to say he was pretty upset.

Someone scheduled a wedding for UF-LSU? Was it local? WOW!!

I can see for New Mexico St. or for Western Kentucky or even the Vanderbilt away game... but Florida?? WOW!!

this marked the first season my dad wouldnt make it to the games... we lived in riverbend on brightside and it would take us 2 hours to get home (3 miles)

my friend and i went and ate some funny fungus earlier in the day and went, we were there, it was awesomeness, a truly visceral experience
