Yep, you're right about Arnsparger and recruiting. Arnsparger pretty much invited schools like UM and FSU to cherry pick talent from New Orleans. I also forgot about Arnsparger and Spurrier.

I remember the game like yesterday. We had a be group committed to geaux but with our record most backed out. Attended with my lovely bride, son (with a broken foot), daughter and wife's parents. It was an unbelievable experience creating lifetime memories with my kiddos. So glad we didn't back out! Hope to see another great game on Saturday this time from the comfort of my home! Geaux Tigers!

Went to that game.
Left for Bama after Fred’s closed.
Stayed at Sigma Nu house Friday night but we were not welcome after LSU won the game.
Great college road trip.
