One of the greatest games in College Basketball history IMO. There were nearly 20 NBA scouts in Deaf Dome that day.

One particular memory from that game was Vernel Singleton getting back down the court, barely able to breath, almost begging the bench for a sub. Those players got run ragged that day.

I was there. What a fun game. During a timeout, I watched Hank Gaithers trying to catch his breath, and I thought he looked very tired. A month later he was dead

Shaq had something like 20 points, 25 rebounds, and 12 blocks.

I'm seeing SEC rewind on at that time. I don't see it listed.

Thanks for the heads up..
One of the greatest ever.
The nets could have been penalized for delay of game.

I was there. Awesome game. Aside from all the obvious, also memorable for the extremely loud f bomb CJ dropped when he fouled out. My virgin ears.

That's it. SEC Rewind is a rebroadcast of an old SEC event. Here's the link to the schedule for the day.

Shaq must have blocked about 8 of Gaithers shots that game but the dude was fearless. Kept coming, and he got his share.
Not the biggest Dale fan here but he did a good thing for the fans allowing his team to run with those guys.

This gets my vote for the most exciting regular season game ever played at the PMAC.

I've never seen another game like that one. I had some friends over and it was a nailbiter all the way through. Fantastic basketball game, maybe one of my favorite sporting events to ever see.

Jeff Fryer from Loyola Marymount was shooting threes as soon as he crossed midcourt, and making some. Just an amazing event.
