That's the last season a team went undefeated and won the national championship.

I don't know that we're national championship material but my point is to relax. Good teams lose basketball games sometimes. It happens.

Congrats on the loss last night. You must be thrilled.

I am fascinated by the mentality of the collective brain to refuse to see the team last night will not be the same with more experience and playing together. If athletes had the same mentality there would never be a Drew Brees or elite person because one the lost they would consider that the high water mark and never improve.

Human performance does not work that way.

If anyone thought this was a national championship team, their fall to earth is devastating.

Two of my greater regrets in life is not sitting in on a T. Harry Williams class at LSU, and not attending the Baton Rouge Regional in '76 to watch that legendary Indiana team play.

Bama had them on the ropes and a questionable call turned the tables at that regional. All the Indiana players to this day will tell you that Bama team was the best team they played that year. Had Leon Douglass who in this young Tiger fans eyes seemed as though he played 10 years at Bama.

No one in their right mind thought LSU was going to run the table. But for the life of me I don't know why so many of you think it just sugar and peaches that we got our heads handed to us. Some of you are probably the same people who go off on "participation trophies." Yet, you cannot fathom why fans are disappointed LSU looked so pathetic last night.

People are frustrated because anyone without a crush on Will Wade could predict what was going to happen last night. We screwed around with Georgia Tech and Louisiana Tech trailing 24-9 and 11-0. Yes, we came back and beat those goobers, but Auburn is a top 15 team.

It was exasperating to then see LSU fall behind 18-1 and Wade had NO ANSWER for LSU's ineptitude or to stop Auburn. NONE.

No one is jumping ship and there's no reason we can't make the Sweet 16. But you people shocked that anyone is disappointed LSU lost are as weird as the people you are trying to bash.

Be frustrated all you want. You have every right to be. These people calling for his head after one loss and completely overreacting are ridiculous.

And to think LSU which finished second to last in the SEC (5-13) came within 4 pts. of beating that Alabama team earlier that year in the same building.

Robert Horry was at Bama forever it felt like....and I think Alec Kessler at Georgia finally decided to go pro just a few years ago

Yep I was at that game. Dale could always get his boys up for big games at the PMAC and in the early to mid-70's Bama was always a big game in hoops.

I can remember Mike Darnall hitting a 30-footer at the buzzer to beat Bama in '73 I think it was.
