I have a signed 58 photograph from the team , that sugarbowl watch , a national championship ring and jacket , and a 57 and 58 jersey . As well as some little gold footballs , I guess they were from big wins .

If there are only three signed it has intrinsic value. It comes down to the buyer

I owned that watch (not this exact watch) at one time. Bought it off EBay for $500, sold it for $700 or so a couple years later. Mine was owned by (cannot remember name to save my life) a coach that ended up coaching at Nicholls or McNeese, the stadium there is named after him, grandson played on LSU baseball team about 5 years ago.

Anything from 1958 is a premium.

I'd say value wise of non player specific items the top would be anything from 1958 with jerseys and rings being most valuable (only 2 helmets still exist, similar number of jerseys, none of these things come up for sale publicly. Ring or jersey 10-12k easy, more depending on be player),

I just saw a 1958 jersey auctioned last weekend. It happens occasionally

That's a great piece. They definitely don't make things like they used to

I have a few things from 1958-59, but for some reason my favorite are these pins. I don't know how rare they are or their worth, but they look nice on the bookshelf.

Have any photos to post of them? I only know of maybe 3 jerseys from 1958. Seen a couple of the footballs. They are usually from the wins against Tulane.

There are more than three that were given out. Ive just only seen that many for sale.

I was aware of that one. I should have said "almost never come up for sale" because that was literally the only game used 1958 jersey Ive ever seen come up for public sale (or private sale for that matter). Old game used items are just really hard to come by. They didnt survive. They were ripped, torn, and thrown away. The only ones that survived were taken home by a few of the players after the season instead of turning them in. Ive also only seen 2 1958 rings for sale publicly and 1 privately. Ive been collecting for some time so if something only comes up for sale once, or twice, that's pretty much "never" in my book rather than "occasionally". That's why if anything from 1958 surfaces it draws a premium. Not a lot of the rare items out there come up for sale. They might as well never come up.

I have a 1958 Sports Illustrated Preseason football guide that I was able to get signed by Coach Paul Dietzel, Billy Cannon, Gus Kitchen and Warren Rabb on the front. For some reason, Merle Schexnaildre signed it on the back. [/img]

I have a program from the Bluegrass Miracle signed by Devery and Marcus Randall. I've never seen one on ebay so they must be a little rare, maybe Kentucky fans all tore theirs up after the game

they are around, but a bit rare, a ticket stub from that game is also rare, a "rough" top few when it comes to programs and tickets for football (and yes ANY Maravich program and/or ticket is VERY in demand), so for us collecting geeks...

1958 Miss St program or ticket (raining game low only 28,000 att ($700+)

1947 cotton bowl ticket or program (see Miss st, rain)

1959 Ole Miss- at least 25 out these but expect to pay $500-750. same with ticket stub

Any pre 1930 program- only ever heard of 4-5- $1,000+, ebay had 1919 vs Fordham went for $2k+, oldest known program I have heard of (LSU has a 1928 Duke)

Any ticket stubs from sugar bowls 2-4

Some more modern tough to finds
1971 ND or Ole Miss tickets or programs in good condition
1988 ticket (programs sell for 75 or so)
2003 at Arizona (around but rare)

and while getting a whole collection of Bowl programs is doable (early sugars go for 300-500, 47 cotton 800 or so, the 1963 Bluebonnett is VERY tough, guy who's pictures I showed a few days ago has EVERY bowl program X2 but only one of these, if you see it under $200 buy it....

shoot, I wouldn;t have any room to talk. You can make out only the first letter in my signature But when you're signing as many documents as I do, clarity of letters can get lost over the years
