I have no idea what the value of that is, but it would be a prize for any collector. I think they may have been given out/signed in the locker room at the end of the season because I have seen a few of them and they are all similar. someone like antiquetiger will probably know more.

I always thought a few things other than 58 stuff. But anything from 58 in way of gear, programs etc. is up there. Anything from Cuba game would be big too. Or old bowl programs like 47 cotton bowl are very rare.
Btw football not mine is a friends who PROMISED me if he ever sold he call me.

It has a COA and was bought at auction house so I think it would bring a lot. ($5k+). But again not sure how many others exist. On eBay 2003/7 balls are 1-2k.

You need a '58 ring to go with that.

I didn't think Roy Winston was on the '58 team.

That's awesome

ETA: Notice how you can read every name on the ball. Then compare to autographs today

I don't think so either.

BTW, FWIW, I have two Moonie Winston autographs, and they both look appreciably different from the one in the OP. Granted, mine were signed 40-50 years later, but the difference is bigger than young man/old man.

I've seen 4. Only 1 was not signed. They were made for the team and also given away to "VIPs" type of thing.
As for players "not on the 58 team" the freshman squad was still technically part of the team. It was similar to JV and Varsity in high school. And the freshman would be also the practice squad for the upperclassmen. I've been told some pretty awesome stories from the 20+ members I've met and spent time with. One of the many Coach Stovall told me included one about his freshman year scrimmage and stopping Billy Cannon on the goal line. Everyone was in disbelief.

This exact one your buddy has outbid me on it in the auction. It was only him and I (whoever your friend is). It went on for like 3 hours after the auction ended because they have extended bidding. I had to tap out because the buyers premium started to add up.

Value is probably somewhere around $2000-3000. However it could always go higher if someone really wants it. Anything from 1958 is a premium.

I'd say value wise of non player specific items the top would be anything from 1958 with jerseys and rings being most valuable (only 2 helmets still exist, similar number of jerseys, none of these things come up for sale publicly. Ring or jersey 10-12k easy, more depending on be player), anything game used/jewelry pre 1958 , 1907 Bicardi Bowl program.

I have a 1958 drinking glass with the schedule and team roster on it.
And I think a Chinese bandits logo

Best is a mini helmet I got signed by les Miles: In Iraq, Les Miles.
Can't even put a price tag on that one.

A while back I bought a near-mint 1959 Gumbo (features 1958 national champions) for $15 on eBay. It was 'buy it now" and I was surprised they set the price so low, and that no one had bought earlier as it had been available for days.
