1908 team / champs

Before you freak out, I know this was probably a topic that was discussed a lot last year after winning a title, because I saw a YouTube video about it, but I’ve been MIA from Tigerdroppings for quite a while. And I’m sure it comes up periodically but here it goes anyway.
To my internet research, we went undefeated that season and were crowned “champions of the south” in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association. Then some Vandy pansy along with Tulane said we hired people to play. Most voters in the SIAA thus gave Auburn the moniker of champs that year. SIAA investigated and found no wrongdoing on LSU’s part. Penn was champion of the North. And now if you look on NCAA.com, they recognize us as national champions for 1908 along with Penn. So why don’t we claim it?
Hell, even 1958 says Iowa are champions too. I remember like 8-9 years ago while traveling across country, we stopped at a Cracker Barrel of course, and while browsing the shop I found a rack of books with historical facts about each year. And the 1958 book listed Iowa as national champs and I was like WTF?? LSU were champs! And I know any championship before the BCS is a crapshoot (hell even with the BCS intact, we wound up “splitting” a title, although we all know we won the NCG) because it’s all opinion based.
I ask this because I’m working on a project piece jacket and I’m going to put the national championship patches down the sleeve. I have 03 07 & 19 jersey patches. I’m having a sugar bowl patch made for 58, and I want a Block L patch for 1908. I know some of you may frown upon listing 1908 because the school doesn’t recognize it, but if the screwy arse NCAA says we’re champs, I’ll take it and recognize it!
(And please don’t say we don’t recognize it because we don’t want to be like Bama, this has nothing to do with them, and everything to do with the men who played those games back then IMO)
Let the chaos ensue...

We should exhume them and honor them at half time of one of the games next year.

LSU is run by retards. Doesn't matter what they say, Woody has gotta claim 1908 or we storm the AD's office

LSU has constructed another Placard to the LEFT of the 58 National Championship Placard in front of Tiger Stadium.

Every time the 1908 team gets mentioned, I will add another vote to get them recognized by the University as a documented national champion!

For the life in me I can not figure out why LSU refuses to recognize this NC!!

I thought schools still hired players.

Put “were” because I was referring to the multiple players on the team, not exactly the school (singular) but ok vocabulary cop
