Another area is Waskom, TX. Its the first town over the state line on I-20. We have 6 cops and I heard 2 of them talking at the chevron the other morning about speeders headed to Dallas for the game.

Here's all the places I slow down.

Dont know if 190 is open, but if it is, don't screw around with Livonia, Krotz Springs, or Port Barre. They've got nothing better to do than hand out tickets.

I-10 to Lafayette, sometimes has cops between the two bridges in Gross Tette.

There's often 1 cop on the first section of the basin before Whiskey Bay. Every so often, there's another between whiskey bay and the end of the bridge, but not nearly as much as that first section. GO 60 COMING OFF THE BASIN BRIDGE. Henderson cops love to sit at the base of the bridge and pop people just before the speed limit turns back to 70. There is almost always one there, and often 2.

Keep an eye out as you get to Breaux Bridge. It's a holiday weekend and their spot is in between the east and west bound lanes just before the bridge at the Breax Bridge exit.

When to the two routes meet in Opelousas:
As everyone has already said, go the speed limit in Washington. Theyre assholes.

Only other spot I know of is about 5 miles before Natchitoches. Theres a cop that likes to hide in the trees around there.

That's all I got, maybe somebody that makes the drive from alex to Shreveport and Shreveport to Dallas can help out on other known traps.

Keep the milemarker updates coming. Leaving BR around 2:00

I-49 N - be careful when approaching the town Washington. They will write a ticket for 2 mph over the PSL.

Especially around exit #25

Anybody heading up I 45 North from Houston?

Any areas I should know about as far as cops go?

Drive a minimum of 90 the entire way to avoid getting run of the road. Seriously.

Be careful when you go through Ennis up to Wilmer, about 10 to 40 miles south of Dallas. This is a notorious speed trap area.

And don't forget that ALL of Dallas county is 60mph. A couple years ago I had my cruise set at 75 all the way from Houston and just relaxing. Cop pops me for 75 in a 60. I never even realized that Dallas county was 60mph. If I'm knowingly speeding and I get popped, fine that was a risk I knew I was taking. This totally caught me by surprise. The kicker, I could see the exit i wanted from where I got pulled over. Less than a mile away!

Cops here in Dallas won't pull you over for going 5 to 7 miles over the speed limit. If you go with the traffic flow, you would be safe though.

I was 15 over officially which is why I was giving the warning since most drivers will set cruise. I thought i was safe with 75 which I was for 99% of the drive. at 65 he probably doesn't pop me but at 75..."License and proof of insurance please."

I was given a speeding ticket outside of Washington for going 22mph over the speed limit.. My cruise control was set at the speed limit though.

Not surprised.

I'm from this area and have dozens of connections in this area. It is a WELL KNOWN FACT that these fricks in Washington make shite up. Happens all the time. Same thing happened to me a few years ago. Had my cruise control set on 70 while on the phone with a friend who was telling me where the cops were. I got pulled over anyway. I couldn't believe it. Piece of shite cop told me I was going 85.

Luckily I got the ticket fixed, but it is a shame they are allowed to do this.

How can they do this? Did you ask to see the radar or laser reading?
