Damn, talk about a flashback. At the time I was living in some dump at University Commons and remember walking outside after that win to head to the bar. Tons of people came out and were just losing it. We were headed to the sweet 16 to play Duke.

That was fancy compared to Commons.

That 05-06 year, I remember post Katrina never being able to park in Commons because of all the refugees. Would park at the Winn Dixie and walk.... also a ton of trash by the dumpsters.

Crescent was okay . The pool had some talent here and there. It was a bitch getting anywhere after Katrina hit.

I too was there and wasn't great as it was a very long ride back to ATL.

Funny thing is that was a 12 seed Aggie team and it took a miracle shot. Aggies got there by beating Syracuse, who was had just won the Big East Tourney.

Great tournament that year.

Of course I thought it was glorious as a Tiger fan. But, what made it sweeter was that I live in Jacksonville and Gator fans were cheering for aTm that night in the Jax arena (so much for SEC "brotherhood"). It was like defeating both aTm and UF that night.
I will say this: The aTm dance team was stellar. It was worth attending just such an amazing group of talent.
