Can't blame anyone in this situation, he had the Greatest season ever by an LSU team and possibly any college team with the amount of top 10 teams we beat. He just couldn't handle success

Would be a real shame if Ed messed up his tax liability and got in trouble with the IRS. A real shame.

Worse! He can pay himself $400,000 per year forever, assuming average returns and no depletion of the buying power of the principle.

True. 4% is the amount that can be paid out without depleting principal or buying power.

Historically.

Nobody had a problem with the money immediately after the natty.

It’s water under the bridge man. Let it go.

Not true. Not everyone thought it was a great idea.
But any questioning of it was shot down by the lemming masses.

I remember a handful of posters balked at the idea of paying him, but most of those concerns revolved around the ability to pay top coordinators (not necessarily that O shouldn’t get paid). And the number of people who are gnashing teeth about it today is way out of proportion.

The reality is that most posters today are looking at this in hindsight after an unprecedented collapse when right after the natty, most people believed O earned the raise.

The deal is done so folks just need to let it go. O is packing his shite and the painful degradation of the program will be over soon (with the right hire).

CEO will go through this money like a hot knife goes through butter.

What kind of judgment and impulse control has he shown throughout his entire life?

God bless him on the rest of his life.

He can make $400k per year for eternity if he invests it properly and earns 4% annually.
