Didn't hear him today, but I can believe that line of thinking permeates the brain of anyone having to do with the ranking of college football teams. Alabama seemingly does get passes, and it is nauseating. The get passes, favorable assumptions, do over's, breaks, treatment, and handling that others don't.
Don't believe me? I have proof. In 2011, the folks that award the national championship trophy - that would be the trophy that says "for this year, you had the best team, and will forever be known as the champion of college football 2011" - the folks that give that trophy to its ultimate recipient decided that if anyone other than Alabama was going to receive that trophy and designation, they'd have to beat Alabama twice. Additionally, they decided that only Alabama was allowed to receive that designation and not be their respective conference champion.
As always, I'll end a post like this with yes, the butthurt is strong.

Honestly with Baylor's schedule right now they don't deserve to be in. Neither does TCU. Not going to break it down for every team but the point is that SOS changes dramatically for a lot of teams in November. Bama also needs an Ole Miss loss. If Bama runs the table and is 12-1 SEC Champ with wins over Us and Florida then they probably do deserve to be in. If they go 11-1 and Ole Miss goes to Atlanta i think you'll see multiple conference champs jump Bama.

You are truly stupid if you think Iowa and Memphis are better college football teams than Alabama at this point. I get the Bama hate, but you're just idiotic if you think those teams are better than Bama.
Let me guess though, ole miss beat Bama and Memphis beat ole miss, therefore, Memphis is better than Bama.

Members of the media will point to the 5 T.O. Against Miss. But they seem to ignore the fortunate breaks Alabama got (onside kick) to make that a six point game.

They gave up 43 points to Ole Miss at home and 3 times they were able to hold Ole Miss to FG's. I don't care how many turnovers you have. The best defense ever put on the face of the earth does not give up 43 points to Ole Miss at home.

Like it or nor beating Alabama would add legitimacy to the playoffs. In other words you need an SEC team in the playoffs to make a valid championship.

But is it about who is better or who is more deserving?
Bama could lose their next 4 games and still be considered one of the ten 'best' teams based on talent alone.
Iowa and other teams are ranked lower because they are expect to lose in November and Bama is expected to win out.
That is not how rankings should work. You should be ranking teams based on their body of work to date.
Compare Iowa and Bama. There is zero doubt Bama is better, but is that how you should judge them?
Let's compare them.
Bama and Iowa have both beat Wisconsin.
Iowa good wins are 6-2 Pitt and 6-2 Northwestern, and 4-4 Illinois.
Bama beat 5-3 Georgia, 6-2 aTm, 4-4 Arkansas, and 4-4 Tennessee.
The argument is that Bama has a thought schedule when you add Ole Miss in there. That argument is literally dismissing the fact that Bama lost that game.

We really need to punch these mf'ers in the throat this weekend. So hard that Texas fires Strong and hires Saban and WVU hires Smart after the embarrassment of this game. Kiffin runs the program into the ground and UA closes the school because the football program withers away and dies.

Nah, they'll just change the conversation to "Can a two loss team make the playoffs?" and "Bama is the best two loss team, do they deserve a playoff spot?"
