100 things to watch 100 days until college football kicks off (LSU related)

From a few days ago but I don't remember seeing it posted - most of them aren't really "things to watch for" but LSU was mentioned.
ESPN
I think Aranda is worth every penny, but it's a sad state of affairs when we are forced to pay him 2.5mil to stay and work for a dude that makes only slightly more than he does. I know the idea was for Orgeron to take less money so we could pay the coordinators more.. but the fact that we had to do that in the first place should have indicated upfront that this was a bad idea.

LSU coach Ed Orgeron has been known to give one heck of a postgame speech (44). Can Ohio State transfer Joe Burrow save his job (45)?
quote:
I don't know if anyone can save Orgeron's job. The Tigers open the season against Miami in Arlington, Texas, and play Florida and Georgia from the SEC East (46). They'll get to play Alabama and Mississippi State at home, but I can't see them winning more than seven or eight games. Am I wrong?
quote:
I know one thing: The Tigers are going to have to really flop for athletic director Joe Alleva to fire him. If Orgeron doesn't make it, Alleva won't stay employed, either (47).

Did you ever think we'd see the day when assistant coaches are making this much money (48)? Is LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda really worth $2.5 million per year (49)? Can he keep the other guys from scoring while Orgeron tries to figure out the offense? Does Tommy Hodson have any eligibility left? That seems like the last time the Tigers could score.

I love quotes like this. If I were Orgeron I’d plaster them all over the weightroom, meeting rooms, everywhere.

Wait, I thought it was only a few people on the rant that questioned the stability of Os job?

I agree. Orgeron has been more forthcoming about his failures as a head coach than most of his defenders on here. He'd be the first person to admit a 7 or 8 win season would be another one.
Embrace the doubts and prove them wrong.

ESPN seems to be 100% convince we're going 6-6 this year and O is getting fired.

I thought it was pretty accepted that he's on the hot seat. The only issue is the contract and when it is financially feasible to part ways IF the team spirals down.
We have so much money lost to buyouts right now. I think we are still paying Les.

When I think of great inspirational orators, I think of Demosthenes or Churchill or MLK, not Da Coach O.
But, then, again none of those old guys spoke bare-chested and none had ready access to Red Bulls to smash against their foreheads...

If we win...all this goes away.
