With the exception of him testing positive for Weed. Not matter how you slice this up it stills looks bad. We kicked an all American off our team for the same thing yet we get drubbed on the Hill issue. Not buying it for one second

Pachall admitted to having tried cocaine and ecstasy once each in the past when he was questioned 18 months ago surrounding the drug scandal on campus and his failed MJ test

No he was kicked off for repeated failures not a single test.

How can one know if one fails repeatedly without being tested?

1. Motivation - This game means more to TCU than LSU. If you asked LSU what their 3 biggest games of the year are, they'd probably say Georgia, Texas A&M and Alabama. On the other hand a case could be made this could be TCU's biggest game. TCU will be more fired up and determined to win this one.

We'll be motivated (even if this isn't Bama, etc)

quote:

2. Coaching - I think Gary Patterson is a better X's and O's coach than Miles. Miles may have more accomplishments and recruiting successes, but he also has more to work with. As a raw coach, Patterson is better in my opinion. Plus he has no blunders on his record like Les Miles had against Ole Miss in 2009 or Tennessee in 2010 or the BCS title game in 2012.

Patterson is a fantastic coach. Would be my first choice if Les left. But they're in two dissimilar contexts. Even if one were to concede this, there's more to the staff than the HC.

quote:

3. Quarterback - Casey Pachall is a more talented quarterback, especially throwing the ball, than Zach Mettenberger. Mettenberger might not have the checkered pass but Pachall has more upside.

Not familiar with Pachall but I expect Mett to play his best football starting 8/31/13.

quote:

4. Secondary - TCU has a talented and experienced secondary and is probably the strongest unit TCU has on both sides of the ball.

OK - we will take whatever you give us. And if you play us vanilla, we'll take over.

quote:

5. Run Defense - TCU has always been able to shut down opposing running attacks in the past. This will force LSU to have to win the game throwing the ball.

To fully stop us from running would leave your D completely vulnerable in ways we can exploit.

quote:

6. Past History - TCU has always thrived in the underdog role in games like this.

We typically play well in these contexts as well.

quote:

7. Experience - TCU has more experience returning than LSU has especially when it comes to starters.

Negligible - experience goes beyond "starters."

quote:

8. Conditioning - I think TCU is the most conditioned team in the league each year. Just look at our past games in September when other teams had players dropping like flies in the 2nd half with cramps and exhaustion issues. Most notably Baylor in 2010.

Our S&C coach (Moffitt) is among the best. We should be ready to start the season.

quote:

9. Wide Receivers - This unit is getting no respect, but were unable to put up big numbers last year due to the QB issues. With Pachall back, this team will have a chip on their shoulder to perform. It is a talented bunch that is getting no respect.

No loss of respect. And we bear some shoulder chips as well.

quote:

10. Preparation - If there is a team out there that does a better job at preparing for opponents, I'd like to see it.

Be careful what you ask for . . .

How can one not read that one was tested not one but many times and only positive one time while another one was tested more than one time and was seemingly not negative one time?

I still don't care, I am not buying it. I know better. Pachall was off a year and trust me when I tell you he will fail another

I don't split my allegiance between LSU and a big 12 team; so, if I call this OUR board, you can STFU and GTFO.

Not that this makes any sense but am I the only one that doesn't understand what this clown is trying to say?

Probably because you were/are not capable of attending both schools.

The line on this game is pretty close. TCU does have two very good QBs. Even though their top defensive player is suspended for the game, they have a very good defense.

And hell yeah, they have an outstanding coach. They also return 16 starters and are actually a very good team. The game is at a neutral site, too.

I don't agree with the "top 10", but I have a good feeling this game may be closer than a lot of people are thinking.

So, if it is close, which it should be, and it goes to the fourth quarter, and down to the last two minutes ...

I attended LSU for undergrad and Rice for grad school, but keep talking about things you know nothing about, TCU fan.
