When was the last time you heard of a college team kicking off 10 times with the other team only returning 1 kick?

Wow! Da Tigaz have one H.. of a kickoff artist!

This is why not kicking it through the endzone is a statistically better strategy.

Clown. How did that strategy work for the Alabama game years ago? LSU’s special teams have shown a DRAMATIC improvement since Leslie was shown the door. That strategy of a bullshite pooch kick to the 6 yard line while spraying balls all over the field was pure trash.

That should be the norm. If you have a ranked team kicking off to you, you risk not getting to the 25 if you don’t fair catch

It may be, but you can't run it back if its out of the end zone. I rather those odds.

Well, the new rule last year kinda levels the playing field on this. Stats will catch up

The same guy led the nation in touchback percentage a year ago. He is a good one and I’m ok with a sky kick and a possible return once or twice a game. If you kick it out the end zone a couple times maybe you can catch the blockers napping thinking it’s another touchback and lanes open up to get the returner whose trying to make a play.

Literally all of last season. Atkins had a touchback percentage of 89% last year.

We averaged better than the 25, so it was an excellent strategy. You’re just too stupid to realize it.

The best strategy is kicking it to the back of the end zone. Then late in the game throw them off with one to the front and make them think about it. Usually they’re so hungry for a return they get greedy. Gotta have a great kick team though.

3 punts, all 50+ and all ended up inside the 20.

That is right on pace with last years' percentage of 90% touchbacks, which led the nation.
