Four players were moving at the same time, so it is a shift that requires all four to be set for at least a second. The top guy's back foot is still coming down when the ball is snapped, so he wasn't set at all just because his front foot was down.

LSU was penalized after 1st down... Not after getting a first down. Had we gotten a PF after recovering the fumble it would have been 1st and 10 from the 21.
Bama got a 1st down and then got a PF. Had they been short of the first by a yard it would have been 2nd and 16.

A Bama fan could do the same thing and find 10 calls that went against them. It's football.
Personally, I think the Vadal call was BS. But Bama also got hit with a personal foul call at the 2 yard line in OT, and they dealt with it. We didn't.
Whining about the refs is something that losers do. If you don't want a potentially bad call to cost us the game, we shouldn't put ourselves in that position.

No one complained about the officiating after the 2011 game in Alabama. LSU won a close one. So it seems only losses are subject to poor officiating.
I think most officiating is terrible but it happens. Fans only put it under the microscope if they are on the losing side. There were multiple factors that went into LSU losing.

You're missing a call on #3. Forget about motion, only 6 guys are on the line of scrimmage. You need 7. And if, either of the receivers on the top of the screen are on the LOS, then it's an illegal receiver downfield, as he'd be "covered up".

The refs did not lose this game for us, but they sure gave y'all an extra advantage. You claim that we have on purple and gold glasses, but your crimson glasses are much worse than ours if you don't believe that you get every close call in every close game. It is sickening. Unless he is moving parallel to the LOS, the player must be set for at least 1 sec prior to snap.

This. First thing I noticed. 89 was not a legal WR due to the other players not lining up correctly.

i complain about bad calls in every game. Even when my team isnt playing. is it so hard to ask to hold these dudes responsible for a shitty job? I know i wouldnt have a job if i made as many mistakes as these clowns do. This has been going on for years.

Exactly. Watch the Bama-Moo U game saturday and see how many close (or even not so close) calls go Bama's way.
