They played better defense and forced us to take tougher shots. We still seem quicker than they are and not sure they can keep us out of the paint all game.

LSU just needs to get back to attacking their defenders off the dribble and either finish or dish it in the paint.
Just need to settle down and not rush. SC scoring in the paint by getting it to their post players, LSU scoring with their guards beating defenders off the dribble. This is a GOOD AZZ GAME!

I haven’t played basketball since freshman year of high school bc I stopped growing at 5’5 and the other players kept going. But my 8th and 9th grade coach used to preach that womens bb was about fundamentals and was more technical. It’s a different game bc women don’t have the obvious physical advantages men have so the game is played differently. She played with and was friends with the first female Harlem Globe Trotter and would frequently have her in our practices to work on those fundamentals. Gave me a real appreciation for the game even after I stopped playing.
TBH - I was never very good at bb. I was athletic and played all other sports so she played me keep me in competing shape and bc I was coachable.

The heart and soul of this team, Aifuwa, Pointer, and Cherry, are Fargas’s veterans and this season they are a threat to go deep in the tournament.

If LSU could hit a jump shot consistently they’d easily be national championship contenders. No reason they should be down when SC has triple the turnovers
