Wife's a Tech grad and had bought 50-yard line seats on the east side for my birthday thinking it would be a great surprise. WRONG!!!!! they were on Row 1 and we couldn't see jack except the asses of the Tech players.
Course we moved up 20 or so rows after the 1st quarter.
And then of course, it was a close game unnecessarily.
What a night.

I felt the same way last year. No fricking we lose to a Troy. I know better now. If we loss to Troy, we can certainly lose to Tech.
Don't forget, O did in five games what Les NEVER did in eleven years of games.
After losing to a undermanned Florida at home in 2016 costing LSU the Sugar Bowl, losing to Troy in 2017, LSU can lose almost any game if O continues to frick things up.

Those are all fair points. My feeling is that since it happened last year, they won't let it happen again. It's obviously an opinion and I've been wrong before, but I hope I'm not this time.

Exactly...growing pains coupled with a healthy dose of idiocy. BUT...if he were to lose to any of those 3 teams this year, he should be fired immediately.
P.S. Can you imagine if he lost to SE, Tech, and Rice in the same season? The melt on here would be epic! Almost worth it just to see it happen. The site would shut down.

The year after LSU's national championship season, Troy was leading LSU with 3 minutes left in the game, 20-17. It took a late score for LSU to get the comeback win in Tiger Stadium.
...and that LSU team was coached by the Greatest Football Coach in the Whole History of the Entire Universe.
2004
The only other game between Troy and LSU was the other year after LSU's national championship season, 2008. And guess what? Yep, LSU was trailing in the 4th quarter of THAT game as well. At one point in the 3rd quarter, LSU was down 31-3. It took the biggest comeback in LSU history to win that game.
2008
So LSU lost to a small-time program (that other great LSU coaches struggled against) in O's first month as head coach. It happens. It doesn't mean that O is some terrible coach, and it doesn't mean O is some great coach. It doesn't really mean anything at all except Troy was the better team that day.
