What I want to see is sound defense today from Baker’s unit

No out of gap players, no BS gimmicky alignments, and no soft coverage to end the halves… just play some damn football and hit the opponent in the mouth…

You don’t want to see the I formation Defense?

MSU is playing without their starting QB and RB
If the defense is giving up explosive plays today, Blake needs to be in trouble

Their backup QB is supposedly a great runner… let’s see if Baker can stop a running QB that can create on the fly.

Shutout....

I think the D looks great today, but what does that mean? MSU is without their star QB. I don’t know that we will really be able to tell if there are improvements until Bama. Auburn is on the road so it will be interesting to see how they handle that.

Byrum Brown hasnt been a great passer either. 7 TDs 7 INTs… however, he’s also a runner AND he’s 6’3” 235 lbs. Defense better be ready to tackle and hit someone.

Their best RB is out too
LSU should be expected to have a great defensive performance today

I assume you remember years ago when the Tennessee backup QB had a career day against an LSU D that was coached better than this one.

Well you’re going to be waiting a while. Blake Baker has had a hand in destroying three straight seasons.
