Best defense I’ve seen in years

Yea it looks like a quarterback that thasn't played with the offense that much during the offseason and needs to develop chemistry. The defense was always going to be ahead. They just need to gel and get it together. Unfortunately the schedule has a lot of tough opponents early. If Sam can limit the mistakes and the defense holds strong, we can do well. We're only going to go as far as the oline allows. They have to do better.

Defense has been great but they will need to clean up the 2-3 busts they’ve had each game.
Every team has busts. One of the primary objectives of the game is for the offense to produce defensive busts. A bust isn't bad unless it results in a touchdown. Thus far this year, the first team defense hasn't allowed a single touchdown.

They have looked impressive, but Ole Miss is a different kettle of fish compared to Clemson and LA Tech. That game in Oxford is going to tell us a lot.

This defense has been more dominant than 2011 so far.
Kind of apples to oranges since 2011 started with Oregon, whom no one else was able to slow down.

I mean, there’s overreactions to both. The defense probably isn’t as great as we think but is still really good. The offense probably isn’t as bad as we think and is actually pretty good.
We’re likely appropriately ranked as the 7th-8th ranked best team in the country which is fine. We have a great coaching staff that will have the guys ready next week and will develop and improve the players as the year goes. Leavitt and the offense will improve. Redzone will probably be an issue all year. Defense will be tested. Just Relax and enjoy the ride
