if you don't think that there is bias in the sports world, then you are just an average outsider fan that has no situational awareness in life and the environment around you

Spread dropped from 8.5 to 7. Orders received.

If we have to rely on refs to win games then we’re not that good.

No, you’re loony because you can’t see that the primary influencer of bad on-field calls is home/away and getting caught up in emotional moments. It’s not a hit job on LSU, it’s just that refs are human and feel the crowd and game pressure.
Ask Central Michigan or any other of the multiple non-LSU teams that have been screwed on the road this year. The “Sorry, but that was too big a moment to call forward progress” wasn’t about LSU; it was about refs giving in to crowds and emotions.

So that explains the losses.

Just open your eyes and see where the SEC office is and what they are already doing to us trying to kick us out for doing nothing wrong.
Would they be trying to Kick Alabama out for this ? If your answer is yes i want to sell you some fake diamonds wait i typed that wrong some very valuable glass diamonds worth millions.
We need to get the SEC office moved to New Orleans and have a Huey Long descendant as SEC commissioner.
Every thing would be run on the up and up and the officiating for LSU would improve and all the other SEC teams would get fair officiating too
( Cough Cough)
I give the odds of that Happenning of 1 in 80 Trillion.
Yes i am saying there is a chance LOL

correct, no calls on aub and phantom calls, but especially on big or scoring plays. It has already shown up in OM and especially KY games. I expect LSU will see many more, and much more obvious, all courtesy of Sankey's unofficial directions to officials. By the end of the season, it will be obvious to all of us.

Why do people bitch about refs so much, especially before a game has even started? Jesus, if you feel the game is rigged why are you watching in the first place
I generally agree with you, but this is Auburn. There is a long history of referee frickery when LSU plays at Jordan-Hare.
Way worse than even Tuscaloosa
The 2006 game there was the clearest example. We all remember the no PI call at the end, but there were at least 3 other calls in that game that clearly tilted it towards AU

They don’t have any “orders“, but they’re guaranteed to make a stupid call at the wrong time so that every conspiracy theory under the sun can be birthed for repeated recycling on the Rant for the next 10 years.

2004 and 2006 auburn
and 2009 bama were no mistakes
we can now add 2026 kentucky with 1 million missed holding calls.

quote:well, let’s hope he’s using the Signal app to communicate with the officials, much like the idiot Pete Hegseth, and copying someone else by accident, so that they can expose him for his illegal activities. Never mind that you can’t prove what the officials have to gain out of doing all of this. Why would they be sacrificing their livelihoods, their safety, their families, and their careers for making a phantom pass interference call against LSU? And over the last 20 years of this conspiracy theory thinking, why hasn’t one official come out and say we were told to frick over LSU in this game?. Someone would’ve paid them big money to expose this, yet it has never happened. Never mind to say at least 20 or 30 people would have to be involved in this conspiracy, and none of them have ever told the blockbuster story that you cite above? The whole thing is just completely nonsensical.

The holding calls don’t bother me nearly as much as the missed false start on the 2pt conversion

How do you suppose it works?
Is there a memo? A closed door meeting? A wink?
I think there are incompetent officials, and I think it’s gotten harder as players have gotten faster over the years.
Heck, I even think biases are impossible to eliminate. I know officiating feels lopsided against every team I follow, and that is clearly a bias on my part.
I don’t believe there is a coordinated effort to slant penalties against LSU (even though I believe Sankey is a snake)
A few other things:
A lot of LSU fans thought there was a deliberate bias pre-Sankey
Is there an officiating bias tier? Are there schools a tier below LSU?

Not sure if true but someone said earlier we are getting Gomer and his crew, if true, orders are definitely in.

Maybe they do as told or quietly lose their jobs. Sound like a reasonable reason to follow orders.
