Question re defensive play calling...

Pressuring Chambliss worked. Why didn't Baker call more of this? Particularly on the game-winning drive. I don't understand why.

He was scared.
No other explanation.
He basically played prevent, to avoid getting torched, but what good does that do when Chambliss just carves you up and down the field anyway.
Baker is 80% of the reason we lost this game.
Leavitt and the play calling on a few offensive key plays can take the other 20%

Because Baker was terrified of giving up a big play or scramble.
Which is eventually how they scored their last TD anyway

We tried to pressure and they stopped it. You can’t always blitz.

Bakers Achilles heel any QB with a threat to run has killed him. Spy the QB with your best athlete hit him every chance and make him beat you!
Beside the one hit on the interception and maybe 1-2 “sacks” at the LOS when did Chambliss even get hit!
