Did you know it's where the hips are when you start the slide and not where you hit the ground? What an insane rule I've never seen called that way.

It’s where you show the defender you are giving yourself up. It makes sense. It also keep from faking it and continuing to run.

It changed when I think Kenny Pickett with Pitt dropped his hips like he was going to slide and then just kept running for a TD after the defense pulled up
