In my entire 32 years of being an LSU fan, I witnessed the 4th string QB take snaps. Holy shite.

Pray to God top 3 don't get hurt

You missed 1987:
Cal State Fullerton saw:
Tom Hodson
Mickey Guidry
Leonard Valentine
Sol Graves — threw a TD to Slip Watkins

Yep back in the ole 6 conference games a year days.
We opened with 4 OOC games.
Whooped A&M at their place and they won the Cotton Bowl that season.
Absolutely drilled CSFU. Guess they would pay us back in baseball.
Beat up Rice.
Underachieved and tied a six win Ohio State team.
That team was in a decent position to go to the Sugar Bowl and go undefeated. Hodson got injured in the beating we put on Ole Miss. and Bama would continue their Tiger Stadium streak on us.
What could have been had we just beaten Ohio State. But guess it wouldn’t have mattered. Auburn tied Tennessee and lost OOC to FSU. They got the Sugar Bowl nod and we got an insulting invite to the Gator Bowl. We could have at least been invited to the HOF Bowl and played Michigan.
Those days were different. No conference championship game = no need to try to cram every SEC team on to a schedule. Were they better days for it? I liked playing five OOC games. Clearly, we will never go back to that. But 1987 was our greatest football season of a modern era until Nick arrived. That interior O Line was NASTY. Great high cylinder offense that did get stuck from time to time.

And he was in the game for a split second and he got bald out for some reason.

OP said in “his 32 years”. So no way OP saw that. I, on the other hand, was at the game. I remember when Sol (now Dr Graves) took the field and as a high school player from NELA he was on the Lanny James show every Friday night on ch 8. So I was proud to watch him play. (side note his Dad played for the Patriots).

We didn’t have a 4th string QB last year

His dad was also a great dentist. Sol later became one too didn’t he?
No i know the poster wasn’t around for it…he just missed being born earlier to see what, at the time, was a stat none of us fathomed was pretty amazing.

Sol’s dad was a dentist yes. Sol is an orthopedic surgeon.

Sol performed a meniscus repair on my dad’s knee about 4 weeks ago. Dr. White Graves is still practicing dentistry in his 80s. Both highly respected in Ouachita Parish.
