This kid is a great back, but you just signed the best pure runner in the country who will be a workhorse by end of season. There's no way he comes to LSU.

Cam Akers says hello

Cam Akers ran for 1000 yards as a true freshman for Jimbo with a bad OL. Jimbo's previous starting RB blew past the single season and career all time rushing records at FSU. Jimbo's starting RB before that was Devonta Freeman, a 2 time pro bowler. Jimbo came to TAMU last year and Trayveon Williams is now the single season rushing leader in TAMU history.

Jimbo knows 3 things very well; QB play, RB play, and recruiting.

You can hate that he spurned LSU, but don't act like the man isn't a damn good coach.

Why can't he come here? You guys had a sophomore in Swift along with 80 other highly recruited backs, and Zamir White still came to UGA.

He doesn’t look like he initiated contact like LF did, however the way he moves / runs does look very similar to LF.

Agreed with that at this time. LSU will push for him.

Houston's been good to LSU in the past and he would be a great addition. However, since we just signed two stud RBs I think our chances are slim, but we could always pick him up in the transfer portal if he goes elsewhere and isn't happy!

He's got that last gear LF has. A second burst of acceleration to top speed.

There are a lot of things going for Texas. His brother loves the horns. His idol is Zeke (twitter name is runzekerun01) and Texas RB coach is Stan Drayton who coached Zeke at Ohio State. He's bailed on multiple trips to College Station and been to Austin more than anywhere else by far. I'd say they definitely lead for now.

LSU and Auburn use one back pretty heavily every season.

UGA has consistently run 2.5 back systems where the top 2 see solid touches and have success (and get drafted), while the third guy gets experience to step in.

At UGA, they're competing for one of three spots. At LSU they're competing for one.

This is not even remotely true. LSU always leans on at least two backs. Even when Fournette was going nuts, Guice was eating too.

Last year we had Brosette go for 1k and Clyde go for around 600-700.

LSU has always been a running back by committee
