Mettenberger fricked with the wrong girl by doing it to a rich Georgia Booster's daughter. Whether not he did everything reported, isn't really known. It could actually be a lot worse, they just didn't release it. Either way, I think its pretty safe to say, when you frick with a rich Booster's family, they have a lot of say in the situation.

Do we have pictures of the alleged victim? Only then can we fully judge how heinous his crime was. If she is >an OT 7, then OK. If not, we would have to question either his downfield vision and/or his ability to absorb Crowton's 5" thick playbook.

We were gonna hire Ed Orgeron at LSU.. Then Mettenberger can play for us for sure. Not much difference. One was a coach at the time of his indescretion.

I was listening to a recent interview with Richt and he acknowledged if he he had to do it again, he would have suspended the kid instead of kicking him off the team. Reading between the lines, all of the other off the field problems UGA was, and is still having angered the Boosters, and they pressured CMR to put an end to the BS. Then a Booster's daughter gets groped in a bar by the kid and is made an example of - just crappy timing.
CMR did say the kid is NOT a trouble maker, and the decision to kick a good kid off the team was one the toughest he had to make as a Head Coach, one he now regrets.
BTW, this is 180 degrees from Masoli and Oregon. That kid was given several chances to change his attitude, to no avail. Hope we can land the kid.

Absolutely...no comparison at all. Masoli's dismissal was the result of multiple actions.

The kid was 18, on his first college spring break, and was a big man on campus at Georgia. Not saying that what he did was right, but it doesn't sound like he is a bad kid. Just sounds like he was immature.

You just got Rivers and Jefferson will be here through his senior yr I dont know why yall think you have to have a JUCO qb so bad. Especially one pleading guilty to sexual assault which is far worse than stealing a laptop. Your last two NC were won by game managers and a great OL and DL same as Bama last yr. You dont need to get a qb with this kind of history imo(not that you wanted it)
