I could be in the minority, but I think we'd have made the playoffs or be close to a lock to make it with Herman this year. That's more so about the talent LSU already had on the roster and who we'd be able to attract.

So you're counting us out this year?

No, but we're not a near lock like an Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma etc. Gotta beat Bama or go 11-0 outside of that, both will be tough.

Actually NO he isn’t a clone! LF ran a 4.36sec 40 yard dash, Evans fastest to date is 4.51 sec. That might not sound like a big difference but it is! That is the difference when you break through the line of being able to out run the secondary and not being caught from behind and being caught from behind!

I've never been one to put a lot of weight on 40 times. Put on the game tape and that man blows by the secondary. I know its high school in the tape, but he easily has fournette type break away speed. Fournette was definitely a little faster, but Evans has plenty enough to do what Fournette did in the second level.

This year's schedule sets up well for Us in the recruitment of Evans.

Beat the horns in Austin
Beat the gumps

That can only help based off of his comments.

2 side notes - We beat Georgia soundly last season.
And put most of our rbs into the NFL - even some of the backups.

No way he ends up at OU or OSU

i'd actually think OSU may be the slight leader, at this point, tbh...

Bama, UGA, LSU battle

don't think UGA, and can NEVER rule out Bama, and yeah, we as good a shot as anyone, but if i were to guess, right now i'd go OSU, as far as a prediction for him

What makes you think OSU is the leader? Everyone on 247 says he’ll end up at a SEC school.

Probably not related at all anymore, but didn’t Strong have them wait until at or just before Signing Day to try to keep other teams distracted recruiting them and create a ‘buzz’ on Signing Day?

Dodged a bullet? Dude has two top 3 classes and in 2 years took a team that had 3 consecutive losing seasons, and won 10 games. He actually cares about defense as well and has loaded his classes with defensive talent and has a DC that is experimental like Aranda.

I don't know if it's infatuation with Ed O, hatred for being slighted, or plain old ignorance, but many of you are completely stupid in your thoughts on Herman, Fisher, and Mullen, among others when it comes to their abilities to run a program.

Tell me how a Herman offense and QB with Aranda's defense would have been worse than what Ed O has had the past two years? Jesus Christ man some of y'all are just too delusional.

Texas is still Texas. Herman has earned his keep so far, but he hasn't proven to be anything special yet.

I don't think OSU is the leader, but I do think OSU has the best depth chart for any 5* looking to get PT his freshman year.

OSU lost Snead in the offseason who was a top 5 RB in his class.

Dobbins is likely gone after this season.

Master Teague and Marcus Crowley look like good players, but neither one, as of now, has really done anything in college.

Could come in day one and get significant snaps at OSU.

You guys are talking about Evans, right? He's not going to Ohio State or OU, they're just there to bump the number up to five. Or in OU's case, maybe to troll Texas.

If you're talking about Bijan or Milton, then that's possible. Texas feels cautiously optimistic about Bijan, but I don't think anyone is sleeping on Ohio State there.

Herman had, and still has, ZERO Louisiana connections. Even his Texas ties are a clear, question mark.

Tommy “Hair Plugs” Hernan would’ve fallen apart at LSU.

I’ve heard that OU is the favorite (or was that for Milton?). Anyway, there’s a long time and I wouldn’t be surprised to see ATM and/or Texas back in the hunt before this is over.

Anyone know whether he’s going to be an early signee?
