Y'know, there's another option at linebacker...

...which is that Rohan Davey's kid Micah just made the FCS Freshman All-America team at McNeese.
He's 6-2, 236. Had 68 tackles and 8 TFL's this year.
I don't remember much about him in high school, but he was at U-High. Apparently he's a pretty good college player.
Wonder if bringing him home might make sense.

I think I'd rather smith from liberty.

We could bring him in for depth for sure. He would have to adjust but if he’s adjusted to junior college that quickly and is already that size then he would likely adjust here as well with a little time. If we get lucky maybe this was just the tip of his growth.
The difference from U-high to even McNeese is substantial enough unless he was just dominating in HS, which we would have known about him if so. Which tells me he’s made a substantial leap forward in growth.
Apparently he has his fathers genetics because Rohan was very athletic for his size and build. He’s also very smart at the game of football so he definitely could be worth a shot this early. At the very least he could be a great ST’s player, which we’ve seen up close this year and we have experience from 2011 that ST’s is an extremely important element to the game of football. It can absolutely make the difference in multiple games, if not all games, when it’s an elite group like we had in 2011. It changes momentum in huge games so quickly and can just be a dagger in the heart of any competitive team. Let the kid come visit and look at him closer.

I would suspect a guy in the portal from Liberty might just be headed for Auburn. Just a thought.
