Xzavier McLeod at South Carolina have any connection to Jimmy Lindsey

Since he enrolled at USCe last January, I'm wondering if he had already signed with the Game Cocks prior to Lindsey finalized the move the LSU in May of 2023?

Shane Beamer dismissed him mid-season but never provided specifics. Also said with the dismissal:
"I would say that there is an expectation level of what it means to be a football player at the University of South Carolina. I take a lot of pride in all of these young men and care for all the young men in our program. I don't take the responsibility that their families put on me lightly and want to work with all to try and help them through any situation they are in. Ultimately, I am always responsible to do what is best for the University of South Carolina football team. Whether it be coaching decisions, personnel decisions. Whatever it might be. Met with Xzavier yesterday and visited with him made the decision to dismiss him from the football team but that is what was best for our program. Hate it for him.
"He is a good young man from a good family . . . I have a responsibility to other football players on the team and coaches and staff and always have to do what is best for our program. That is kind of what this situation is. Wish him well. He is a really good player. Want to help him in any way I can going forward. Just, it won't be here at Carolina."
Presuming Lindsey is healthy going forward to have a major positive coaching impact on the 2024 LSU team, does he have the insight to favorably impact this young man going forward? Or, is it too much of a risk?

This was discussed here a couple wks ago maybe. I think this is the guy who played his 4 games and he and his family wanted him to RS. USCe had a game in CoMo and he did not want to travel with the team because they might make him play and burn his RS. He and his family agreed to part ways with USCe rather than go in the doghouse.
Probably more to that story than what I listed but IIRC that was the explanation given on here not long ago

I know they were trying to force him to burn his RS and he didn’t want to but I’m not too sure what all went into that and if transferring was always in the cards for him

Kid reportedly had some discipline issues in HS, the staff took a shot with him, didn’t pan out. Staff had issues with him.
Refusing to travel to the Mizzou game was just the cherry on top of other problems.

If he signed in February and Lindsey moved on in May he may have not gelled with his new dline coach. Didnt want to burn redshirt and transfer. I have no idea, just speculation.
