is molten that quick? i know he's supposed to be surprisingly fast, but i don't remember him being quick

it appears our 6-5 tolliver is quicker than our 6-0 toliver

But playmaking smurfs can't run up the middle for 2 yards on first down. They also try to make plays when returning punts instead of making a fair catch every time.

So why exactly do we need them?

I don't know. You mentioned him earlier, no?

He's at least smallish (skinny but tall).

Yeah, Toliver is ridiculously quick for a 6'5 guy. It's good to see him flashing that 5 star rating.

I really hope Tolliver gets it going. I was very high on him coming out.

At this point, it seems like Ron Brooks could be a guy like that. Maybe he can't catch? I'd love to see him on some screens and such.

Also, don't forget we got Drayton Calhoun, who is apparently super explosive. John Williams is a smaller type that never really materialized.

It seems to me that we have recruited smaller receiver/rb types... just haven't seen one pan out yet.

it may be based on something along the lines of blocking or something non-receiving related

Molten and Williams are fairly quick but they probably wont ever play a meaningful down for LSU.

it's just an ACL tear

those aren't big deals anymore and he should be close to 100% by the start of next year unless it gets infected

PP was telling people around town that he couldn't cover Molten. I hope the injury doesnt frick him up permanently.

He's a real good RB that noone talks about IMO. I personally don't think Keiland Williams is much better than him, though I know some may laugh at me for that.

But if Ford, Seastrunk (assuming we get him), Ridley, Ware, etc are as good as they look; it won't be a big loss.

The thing is, I don't know how shifty Brooks is. I know it's wierd bc he looked shifty in his recruiting videos, but I haven't seen it yet in the few glimpses we've got on him on defense. Keep in mind that he was behind both Taylor and Phelon at CB last year.

There has to be something keeping him off the field on defense bc he is clearly fast and a very physical player. I'm just assuming it's his hips, which would also affect him at slot WR.

He's a talented WR no doubt but it doesnt look like he will suit up for LSU anymore.
