Don't know much about him but Fred Perry from Jax State has apparently entered the portal. Saw the tweet, but I'm traveling, so I'm mobile all day so I don't have it to copy at the moment, but Matt Zenith and Chris Hummer are reporting.

I love taking an all conference guy from a smaller conference. I'd rather that over an sec guy that hasn't played in 2 or 3 yrs at their prior school.

It’s pretty sad when freaking Jacksonville State has safeties that could run circles around LSUs. Weird times in college football.

The athletes LSU has been recruiting at the safety position all look like small framed nickel dbs. I don't understand the strategies the last four years since Delpit left. You see athletic safetys everywhere you look in other much smaller conferences.

The thing with LSU safeties was never athletic ability. They were always confused and in the wrong spot. Veterans who didn't know what they were doing. If these small school safeties understand where they are supposed to be, we will gladly welcome them.
