I would take that NIL and put it towards Jakheem Stewart and the top portal WR.

Stewart, Guillory and McKinley would make a great DT rotation. We need a stud WR with Lacy and Daniels graduating and they need to be a day 1 starter.

We should definitely up the Stewart offer and hopefully Solomon Thomas offer. I wouldn't go out of control with it.

I'd save the rest for the portal and get difference makers instead of average guys.

Doesn’t Daniels have one year of eligibility left?

Point stands either way. Realistically need to go portal hunting for 2 WRs, OL, and another DT even if Stewart ends up signing.

And what happens to the rest of the team and future recruits when you pay well above market for Stewart? Make the kid a good offer (a bit over market is fine), but you can’t re-set the market, especially on a kid who’s played one year of high school football.

Also up Nussmeier and Anderson’s deals for next year. Need both of them back. Obviously if Nuss is projected 1st round, nothing we can do.

I agree with Anderson but not Nuss. Why would you offer him more for mediocre play?

He's a SR. Does he have an eligibility year?

3rd highest single season passing yards in LSU history is mediocre? I’m sure you wouldn’t have paid Burrow more to come back after 2018 season too.

Our best option for next year is Nuss.

Burrow was money towards the end of 2018. You could tell he was improving. That A&M game you could tell he was built different, he also showed that against UCF. I don't see it in Nuss, too careless with the football and folds under pressure. He lost the A&M game, was trash against Bama, got outplayed by a freshman against Florida.

Nuss was making some good throws last night, but his WRs kept letting him down.

Last night, Nuss proved to be really good when he has a pocket to throw from. Oline kept him clean all night. We'll see if they can next week against OK. They were all over Milroe and you saw the results.

I don't know man, I just don't trust the kid. Anderson, Daniels and Taylor are your money receivers but he keeps trying to forcefeed Lacy.

Yards don't mean anything unless it's producing points. Nuss has 6 TDs TOTAL in the last 4 games combined, LSU hasn't scored more than 24 points in that span.

I don't hate Nuss, but our best option is a top portal QB. I really feel like if we did some tanpering, we could get the kid from Washington St.

And Walker Howard was our savior just 3 years ago according to this board. That's the evaluation skills this board has.
No way I cosign paying more to Stewart than we were willing to pay Underwood. That's what it will take. Does that seem logical? How many 5 and high 4* DL busts does this state have to produce before we realize maybe, just maybe they're grossly overrated? That includes those that were at LSU, Alabama and any other program they went to. It's really quite an amazing streak of busts that position has. Dont believe me, go take a look at the past decade of 5 and 4 star DL from LA and let me know the ones that panned out. Very short list. Almost not a list at all.
But let's not let facts get in the way of a random thought.

And in this day and age of offensive football that is not saying much. Next group of LSU QBs will probably surpass that number.....

If Nuss had Chase, Jefferson, and Marshall, he would have better stats.

I think Thanos is going to play SDE where savion Jones plays and possibly slides inside on 3rd downs to get a good pass rush
