A lot of LSU coverage first 10 minutes!

247 will have an article this week about teams that can contend for the #1 class

Interesting how he says a recruit referenced the tailgating situation. You would think that wouldn't be a factor for a recruit.

* Weekend essentially locked up a minimum top 5 class this year.

* Still in the convo for possibly finishing number 1 overall

* 2024 has a shot at #1 overall class as well.

* he covered the crystal ball picks he put in.

- Feels good about Ricks to LSU. Wants to play early, and he can be a day 1 starter at LSU.

- 2024 5* WR Ryan Wingo hung out with Ricks at some of the LSU tailgates, had a good time, loved the atmosphere.

- Also loves where we stand with Toviano.

- Top 100 OT and Georgia commit Bo Hughley was on campus, LSU coaches feel they're gaining traction here. He's good friends with 2024 LSU commit Joseph Stone (also from Georgia). Kelly emphasized to him that he had some of the best offensive lines in the country at ND, and wants to do the same at LSU.

One of Tennessee's offensive coaches was at Mizzou when Heupel was there, as GA or something but is a former Mizzou OL. He's followed Heup elsince then. He went to the same HS that Ryan Wingo goes to. I'm thinking that may make him a tougher pull than you would otherwise think when looking at a St Louis kid committed to Tennessee.

That high school is the rival Jesuit school to DeSmet, where Steeples went and coached and where Mekhi Wingo went and where Mac Markway goes. Ryan Wingo has an older brother (Ronnie) that was a RB at Arkansas and in the NFL and an older brother (Ray) that was a DB at Mizzou. According to a local St Louis tv station article, he has a sister that went to Dillard in NOLA so it could be a place for him to still be around some family.

A&M is a pretty good example of what happens when you can recruit but aren’t a very good coach. I wonder if ND will be the same?

That won’t last with Freeman’s lackluster showings and Notre Dame reverting back to their Weiss days level. They better send Fickell the damn brink truck. You can only do so much with talent, ND made a rash and stupid hire. Kelly has proven this ND squad isn’t much without him. 10-1 with basically the same crew last season. 6-4 without him with strings of bad wins and losses.

ND has actually looked good their last 2 games. Not saying that will continue though.

Pretty soon it won’t matter what Notre Dame does, because LSU is going to be landing top 3 classes year in and year out under the direction of Brian Kelly.

The adults are finally here. Welcome to the LSU we’ve all been waiting to see on a consistent basis.

Basically, nor was Syracuse, but at least they’re on a decent enough winning streak. Clemson is a 4 loss team in the SEC and 3 in the BIG 10

There's plenty of evidence that Jimbo isn't a very good coach and his program is a dumpster fire.

It's way too early to pose that question about Freeman, IMO. He's definitely got them trending in the right direction though. They're 6-3 with a 3 game winning streak and just notched a top 5 win. They have at least 2 other top 25 wins as well.

He's also done a fantastic job holding that class together. After their terrible start to the year, I really expected to see mass defections, but so far they've mostly stayed committed.

Should be 4 but it’s whatever.

Sampson
Heard
Womack
Brown

Let’s not forget the likely additions of Ricks and Toviano, should honestly be between 5-6 five star players. Will Campbell was lowered for whatever reason if I’m not mistaken and see how turned out.
