I went to MState and still have friends in Starkville...one of my good friends works with his mother at PACCAR outside of Starkville and he tells me she really wants him at State so she can watch him more and all of the rest of my friends that keep up with state recruiting(if u want to call it that lol) feel confident he will not be a tiger...I know this is hear say but just thought I'd post...hopefully they're wrong if not oh well

It's definitely not going to be easy to pull him out of Starkville. That's why I'm not as confident as others.

What else could we expect her to say to the people around Starkville. For all we know, her employer is a Miss. St. graduate and/or supporter. Being his mother, she probably does hope he stays home and can say that to people honestly, but to him she can also say he has to make his own decision.

I've tried telling everyone on this board to watch this kid's commitment. Now, do I think he's ours to lose right now? Yes. But I'm never comfortable until their loi comes in if they're from Mississippi.

Kids don't want to stay in starkville their whole lives, AJ Brown bolting last year makes it easier for Gay this year IMO

well I'll say this, I get the feeling his recruitment is similar to guy's we've lost in our own backyard where they maintain LSU is still in it but reading the tea leaves most could tell they were gone, just delaying to keep the heat off. Gay I think finds himself in a similar situation.

He said yesterday before leaving that it was between LSU and Michigan.

Moreover, his mom is from Louisiana. And also he said the official visit was wonderful and that everything went perfect. Others felt that at times he spoke as if he had already committed. Nonetheless, you never know, I still feel confident that he will commit to LSU hopefully this afternoon.
